Unter dem Projektnamen „The Speed Sisters“ interpretierte Ralf Eggl die beiden Boxer neu – stilistisch verwandt, aber eigenständig im Ausdruck.  Die BMW R 12 überzeugt mit einem aufgeräumten Bobber-Heck, Hattech-Keramikauspuff, höhergelegtem Wilbers-Fahrwerk (+15 mm), individueller Echtleder-/Alcantara-Sitzbank und markantem Lichtdesign mit Kellermann Jetstream Blinkern.  Die BMW R 18 setzt auf mehr Masse und Ausdruck: 320 mm Bremsanlage von der R 1300 GS, +20 mm Fahrwerkshöherlegung, verschlankter Tank, freischwebende Sitzbank, CNC-gefertigte Details und ein kompromissloser Auftritt – ebenfalls mit Hattech-Auspuff und eigenem Rücklichtdesign. 00:13Ralf ist neben mir, Rolf Ekel, von der Waldwerk Company,

00:17und er wird uns ein bisschen über das Haus hier und wie er mit diesem tollen Name kam,

00:22besonders mit seinen Bikes.

00:26Ralf, ich bin glücklich, wir hier und ich bin glücklich, wir arbeiten auf ein Projekt zusammen.

00:51My idea was always to have my own custom bike workshop,

00:59and then in 2014 I came up with the idea that I really wanted to take this to the next level,

01:04and of course I thought about the name and simply wanted to incorporate my connection to the Bavarian Forest somewhere.

01:09And yes, in our country, we call the Bavarian Forest the W and work for workshop.

01:24Yes, I think it's a brilliant naming convention.

01:27You have some really great ideas.

01:29You've made beautiful calendars with your bikes and a flyer like that.

01:32I was fascinated when I flipped through it and there was a saying in it.

01:38The Bavarian Forest is our home, the Bavarian Motorworks is our passion,

01:42and that's of course really great and a strong statement.

01:46How did you develop your love for BMW?

01:50Was it an experience or was?

01:52It actually threw my grandfather, because he used to have BMWs,

02:01and when I was 6 or 7 or something, I used to ride along with him,

02:05and they all used to tune them up a bit and race with them

02:07and built their own frames and built their own racing bikes and so on.

02:14Since I was already thinking,

02:16wow, that was an interesting topic,

02:19and of course I've also had a few Japanese people in the meantime in my career.

02:27We probably have, but yes,

02:29I simply think the brands of the products are great,

02:32the quality,

02:33especially with the ones that have been around for so many years,

02:36but the durability and the vehicle,

02:37it still works and it doesn't take long for it to be up and running again, so.

04:15We thought about whether we could make something a little fresher based on such a frame,

04:21the customer gave us free reign there,
