00:00Hello and welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog, where today's video is
00:18all about the 225 Bentley Flying Spur. Bentley's freshly revised luxury sedan with a plug-in
00:25hybrid heart and majestic presence. With the 2025 model year, the Flying SPN is finally saying goodbye
00:33to the legendary W12 engine and switching completely to electrified V8 engines. Two performance levels
00:41are available. The ultra-performance hybrid version in the Speed and Muleiner versions mobilizes a
00:48whopping 782 horsepower and around 1000 Nm of torque. This makes it the most powerful four-door
00:55Bentley sedan ever. The new high-performance hybrid variant, which is being introduced in the so-called
01:02Core and Azure models, still has an impressive 600a horsepower and around 930 Nm. Both engines combine
01:13a four-cylinder Biterbo V8 with a powerful electric motor, powered by a battery with a capacity of 25.9
01:19kWh. At speed, the Flying Spur sprints from 0 to around 97 km per hour in just 3.2 seconds and can
01:29reach a top speed of 285 km per hour if required. The somewhat tamer high-performance hybrid version
01:38completes the standard sprint in 3.8 seconds and is only a blink of an eye slower.
01:44Thanks to the all-electric driving mode, both versions offer a range of up to around 80 km per
01:49hour or even more than 40 miles. As independent tests have shown, this is completely emission-free
01:55cruising. The clever driving modes Electrive, Hybrid, Hold and Charge juggle combustion and electric power
02:03either automatically or at the push of a button, while Sport Hold keeps the full system output
02:08permanently available. To confidently transfer the power to the road, the widebody uses active
02:16all-wheel steering, permanent all-wheel drive, an electronically controlled differential lock and
02:21the advanced Bentley Dynamic Ride Wong stabilization with two valve dampers.
02:25The combination ensures impressive driving stability without compromising on comfort.
02:34Even in Sport mode, the chassis remains supple, while Comfort mode virtually irons out long undulations.
02:42The dimensions underline the Grand Tourer's identity. At 5.3 m long, 2 m wide and around 1.5 m high,
02:51with an impressive 3.2 m wheelbase, up to 5 occupants can enjoy plenty of space.
02:57Unladen, the Hybrid weighs in at a good 2.5 tons, but skillfully hides this weight behind impressive
03:03performance and an adaptive brake setup with 17-inch discs at the front.
03:09The mixed tires comprise 265 mm wide tires in a ratio of 40 on 21-inch rims at the front and a mighty
03:17305 mm on the same rim diameter at the rear. Optional new 22-inch 10-spoke wheels are available,
03:26painted in either gray, polished or jet black.
03:32Visually, the Flying Spur is enhanced by a redesigned radiator grille with a speed-specific pattern,
03:37revised bumpers, a diffuser in body color or carbon fiber and dark-tinted chrome
03:42brightwear for a particularly striking appearance. Fresh paint tones such as Gravity Gray or Tremoline
03:49Green expand the already enormous range of colors. Inside, buyers can choose from 15 main and 11
03:56secondary leather colors as well as the finest dynamic microfiber or open-pore walnut.
04:02The dark chrome interior package replaces classic high-gloss chrome with satin black. Ideal for
04:08those who prefer subtle understatement. The wellness seating system is also new.
04:14Air chambers in the backrest and seat cushions subtly change pressure, prevent fatigue and combine
04:19with the seat climate control to automatically regulate temperature and humidity.
04:25A massage function with six programs pampers all outer seats.
04:31While the three-stage range of audio systems extends from the already excellent
04:34signature setup to a 16-channel Bang & Olufsen system to the 21-channel name high-end system.
04:42The latter is considered by many connoisseurs to be one of the best-in-car surround experiences worldwide.
04:48The rotary touchscreen, which disappears behind real wood on desired surfaces,
04:53has been modernized with software.
04:56The new MyBentley app studio now allows selected third-party apps,
05:00including alternative navigation, to be installed directly on the vehicle display.
05:06Central locking, lights, air conditioning, battery charging,
05:09or even the interior temperature can be controlled remotely via smartphone app.
05:15Of course, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also standard,
05:19as are Wi-Fi hotspots and wireless charging cradles in both Rosa seats.
05:23According to admins, the fourth-generation Flying Spur starts at around 207,000 euros for the basic model.
05:32The black edition is priced at around 241,000 euros.
05:37The speed costs around 250,000 euros, while the exquisitely equipped Molina can easily climb to around 287,000 euros.
05:45The top-of-the-range model tested by admins even managed to fetch around 337,600 euros thanks to extensive customization.
05:59Dealers' special models such as the first edition also entice with illuminated door sills,
06:04animated welcome lights, and a special badge on the dashboard.
06:09Those looking for maximum range will be pleased with the direct current charging capacity,
06:14which fills the battery in less than two and a half hours.
06:18In everyday life, an alternating current wall box in the garage at home is sufficient to fully charge the hybrid overnight.
06:26Bentley promises up to 90% less CO2 emissions in hybrid mode compared to the 12-cylinder engine that is no longer listed.
06:34This is an important intermediate step on the brand's path to full electrification from 2035.
06:40Conclusion, the 2025 Bentley Flying Spur combines handcrafted opulence with state-of-the-art drive technology.
06:49A rolling saloon that, thanks to plug-in hybrid power, accelerates faster than many thoroughbred sports cars,
06:55yet glides quietly and economically through city centers.
06:59Whether as the speed for performance enthusiasts, the Azure for wellness fans or the Molina for individualists.
07:05Anyone who configures this British luxury icon will receive a vehicle that leaves little to be desired
07:12and at the same time makes a statement for sustainable upper-class luxury mobility.
