00:00Welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:03Today we're talking about the new Bentley Bend Tiger Speed for model year 2025.
00:08A luxury SUV in a class of its own that, despite the engine change, is still aimed at performance enthusiasts.
00:14With this model, Bentley is finally saying goodbye to the famous 12-cylinder engine and instead opting for a 4-liter V8 with but turbocharging.
00:24Hybrid? No way!
00:25Unlike its corporate brothers, the Lamborghini Urus SE and Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid, the new Speed remains a pure combustion engine.
00:36Many loyal Bentley enthusiasts are disappointed by this move, as the 12-cylinder was considered by many to be the heart and soul of the brand.
00:45But a look at the technical data shows that the buturbo V8 is anything but a weak replacement.
00:50With around 650 horsepower and a maximum torque of around 850 Nm, which is available from just 2250 rpm, the new Speed delivers impressive performance.
01:03The power is transferred to the asphalt via an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, resulting in acceleration from 0 to 100 kmh in just 3.4 seconds.
01:16The top speed is an impressive 310 kmh, a value that is rare in this segment.
01:28While Lamborghini and Porsche rely on additional electric motors in their comparable SUVs and thus achieve up to 800 horsepower,
01:35Bentley deliberately relies on classic drives with a sound pattern that leaves little to be desired.
01:39The standard sports exhaust system underlines the character of the V8 with its emphatically powerful acoustics.
01:50Those who like it even more extreme can optionally choose an Acropovic exhaust system,
01:55which provides even more sonorous presence with four tailpipes.
01:58In terms of driving dynamics, the sports mode in particular has been further developed.
02:02Here, the suspension damping has been stiffened by 15%, which results in noticeably more direct handling.
02:09The revised tuning not only enables more precise steering and better road holding,
02:14but also allows controlled drift angles for the first time.
02:20The torque vectoring by brake system contributes to this by applying targeted braking impulses,
02:25thus improving steering response and providing additional stability when accelerating out of bends.
02:32This is supported by all-wheel steering.
02:34For even greater deceleration power, carbon ceramic brakes can be ordered as an option,
02:40which provide greater safety, especially when driving at a sporty pace.
02:44The Bentley Bentiger Speed also clearly sets itself apart from its more civilian brothers in terms of appearance.
02:52Dark accents on the body and lights, a black roof, chrome-plated speed emblems
02:56and a choice of 22-inch or 23-inch wheels underline the dynamic appearance of the luxury SUV.
03:05The interior retains typical Bentley luxury, complemented by sporty details such as speed-specific displays,
03:11numerous logos and high-quality workmanship that impressively combines exclusivity and performance.
