00:07which is perfect for any outdoor adventure, camper or vehicle.
00:12Dometic is known worldwide for high-quality cooling and freezing systems for mobile living.
00:18With the new Rakan series, they have now developed a stackable cooling system that is space-saving,
00:23lightweight, robust and well-designed and more than justifies its price.
00:27The Rakan range includes both hard-side and soft-side coolers.
00:34Despite their name, the soft-side versions have a reinforced,
00:38solid base and are even robust enough to be mounted on mall systems.
00:42They are ideal for carrying or stacking on top of the hard-sides.
00:47The latter form the solid foundation of a Rakan setup,
00:50perfect for longer trips or stationary use in the camper or cargo area.
00:54The large basic models offer a capacity of around 69L
01:00and are made of an inch-thick injection-molded composite material
01:03that provides excellent insulation and preserves ice for a long time, even in hot conditions.
01:10Integrated drainage systems ensure that emptying is effortless,
01:14even when the cooler is stowed deep in the vehicle.
01:16Thanks to a clever groove system on the inside,
01:22the compartments can be individually adjusted and all models,
01:25whether hard or soft, have lids that can be opened from both sides.
01:31The stackable design allows several cool boxes to be combined compactly
01:35and thus accommodated in almost any vehicle.
01:37In terms of weight, the large hard-side model weighs around 17.3kg,
01:43the medium-sized one around 11.3kg.
01:47The soft-sides are lighter and come with carrying handles,
01:50as do the smaller hard-sides.
01:53Prices start at around €200 for the soft-side models,
01:57around €300 for the medium-sized hard-side version
02:00and around €400 for the large hard-side box.
02:03A complete setup from all three versions can therefore be put together for around €900.
02:11Ideal for couples or families who like to be flexible on the road.
02:17Whether for a weekend in the countryside or longer trips,
02:20the Domecra Con series allows you to combine or use the coolers separately as needed,
