00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:03Today, we're talking about the subtle but profound facelift of the Land Rover Defender,
00:08which features a refreshed design and a more powerful 5-pipe V8 supercharger.
00:14Jaguar Land Rover continues to place a strong emphasis on the Defender,
00:18as it is currently the brand's most profitable model.
00:22While Jaguar has hardly had any vehicles registered in Europe recently,
00:26with only 49 new cars last month, things are booming at Land Rover.
00:32The Defender series alone achieved around 115,000 deliveries in the last financial year,
00:38making it the clear leader.
00:41It's therefore no wonder that Land Rover has given its successful model a thorough but barely visible
00:46update six years after the start of production of the modern generation.
00:51The revised model will be launched in Great Britain first.
00:56Other markets such as Australia will follow in October 2025.
01:00Visually, everything remains largely the same, with new headlights with a distinctive light signature,
01:06standard fog lights and discrete taillights with tinted lenses.
01:10There are also new colors such as Barasco Grow, Woolstone Green and exclusive Sargasso Blue.
01:17The top model Defender OZ also gets accents in textured graphite.
01:21A matte Patagonia white wrap will be available as an option later.
01:27The wheel designs have also been expanded, for example to include a seven-spoke wheel in dark gray with a diamond cut.
01:36Inside, the facelift brings, among other things, a larger 13.1-inch touchscreen,
01:41a revised center console with sliding cargo area and removable side pockets in the signature suite package.
01:49Alternatively, you can opt for a central folding seat, which allows for an eight-seat configuration.
01:56Also new is an adaptive off-road cruise control, which is available as an option for the first time,
02:01as well as a standard driver attention assistant.
02:03The Defender OZ also gets new options such as chopped carbon fiber accents on the outside and inside,
02:11a matte protective film, four new interior colors and 20-inch forged wheels.
02:17In Australia, the previous P400 model in the Defender 90 and 110 is being replaced by the new P425,
02:24whose 5-liter V8 compressor now delivers around 560 horsepower and around 570 newton-meters of torque.
02:33The Defender H10 is also offered there with a D250 pure six-cylinder diesel with mild hybrid technology.
02:43This delivers around 245 horsepower and is equipped with electronic air suspension as standard,
02:4918-inch steel or optional 19-inch alloy wheels.
02:54More than five years after the launch of the current series, the Defender remains a best-seller.
02:59It covers a wide range from the commercial hardtop version to the luxury OTA.
03:06Land Rover is responding to the high demand by running at full production capacity.
03:11The latest changes, new colors, fresh design accents and an expanded range of accessories
03:16make the iconic all-wheel drive vehicle even more attractive to adventure enthusiasts.
