00:00Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's senior political secretary is confident that APCO will contest

00:05in the Sabah polls under the Pakatan Harpan banner despite its president, Iwan Benedict,

00:10proposing that the party run under its own logo. In an exclusive interview with FMT,

00:15Shamsul Iskandar Akin said it was crucial for Iwan, as Sabah PH chief,

00:19to lead the way in presenting a united front ahead of the 17-state election.

00:24Datuk Iwan as the chair of PH may come to his senses and maybe it is good also for him to discuss

00:34with all other partners in Pakatan Harpan Sabah because we know in any election, unity is paramount.

00:42If APCO decides that they don't want to use the PH logo, then we need to manage that because

00:50does that give a sense that the AP will use its own logo or Kadilan will use its own logo?

00:59Iwan had proposed APCO contests under its own logo to highlight the Sabah spirit,

01:04but said the issue was still under discussion and pending the PH presidential council's decision.

01:09Shamsul said there was still time for negotiations before nomination day on November 15th

01:14and maintained that cooperation and unity within Sabah PH remained strong.

01:18I was made to understand we are among the earliest that can reach consensus on the seeds.
