Watch this hilarious compilation of a marionette poodle pup interacting with real dogs and them freaking out over it.
Lukasz Puczko, a well-known Polish puppeteer, performs fully improvised marionette shows with his wooden dog Burek.
He loves to perform with dogs in the crowd and record their interaction with Burek. Some dogs kiss him, some are scared of him, but every interaction is just as funny and adorable as the last one.
Lukasz said: “Using wood, string and artificial fur, I painstakingly built Burek over a period of several months in my workshop.
“I also studied the intricacies of dog mannerisms to bring Burek to life during my shows.
“During the build, I was observing dogs for their behaviour to find out what movement would be needed in a puppet
“I was learning from mistakes. Burek, for me, represents my determination.
“For around 15 years of performing with every version of Burek, I've met thousands of dogs with different reactions
“With each, I was learning and practising more and more.
“I also try to use Burek to work with and help kids and adults who are afraid of dogs.
“They know he is a puppet, but the movement is too real.
“But because I'm deciding what the puppet will do, I am slowly able to get them used to dogs.
“Eventually, they are able to pet Burek, breaking their fear.
“For some of them, it was the first time they’d ever pet a dog.”
