00:00Can I just ask you, in the bilateral, several claimants of the South China Sea were also in the meetings.
00:06Was the South China Sea discussed at all?
00:11Not directly, but like I said in my speech, number one, for us to address any threat, any challenges, we must act as one.
00:21For us to be effective, and for us to be respected, and for us to be seen as a grouping that have the same voice, same objective.
00:35Secondly, we did say, especially I did mention, that there is a need for everybody to respect international law.
00:45Whether you can interpret it as something directly or indirectly, but it means that whatever conflict, we need to use a common yardstick that is acceptable to all, which is the international law.
01:03And during our luncheon with the Chinese Minister of Defence, Admiral Dong, he stated clearly that China support in the formulation of the Code of Conduct on the South China Sea.
01:22And we look forward to that. We are in the midst, as you are aware, the Foreign Ministry is taking charge of this, to see that the Code of Conduct materialises, depends on the discussion between.
01:40But China supports the need to have that Code of Conduct.
01:46What other things that have been said by China, you have to ask Admiral Dong.
01:52I cannot speak on his behalf.
01:55Okay. Thank you.
