00:2970s and the legendary Capri RS. The interior looks sporty and elegant at the same time.

00:46This gives the car a sophisticated yet modern ambience that perfectly matches the sporty

00:51look of the vehicle. Ford Germany is currently facing major challenges. A change in management,

00:58the increasing loss of power vis-a-vis the corporate headquarters in Delhi and a shrinking

01:03market share are putting the company under pressure. But with the return of the Ford Capri,

01:09Ford now wants to bring about a turnaround and breathe new life into a legendary name.

01:15The new Ford Capri is the second of Ford's new generation electric vehicles and is manufactured

01:21at the state-of-the-art Cologne Electric Vehicle Center. As a sporty SUV coupé, the new Capri adopts

01:28some of its classic role models design cues. For example, a flat bonnet extends across the entire

01:35width of the vehicle between the horizontal headlights and a narrow grille. The C-shaped rear window is

01:41particularly striking and, like the classic Capri, underlines the elegant coupé design.

01:46The vehicle's dimensions are also impressive. The Capri Mist, measuring 4.1634 meters in length,

01:55is 1.872 meters wide and 1.66 meters high. The wheelbase of 2.767 meters ensures ample space

02:04inside and underlines the vehicle's stability. Aero alloy wheels are available as standard in 19-inch

02:10sizes for the base model and 20-inch sizes for the Capri Premium variant. For even more expressiveness,

02:16wheels up to 21 inches are even available as an option. Compared to the first generation,

02:22the new Capri now offers a full-fledged tailgate instead of a small trunk lid,

02:27which significantly increases practicality without compromising its sporty appearance.

02:32In addition to the eye-catching vivid yellow, there are other colors to choose from for the Capri,

02:38including Agate Black Metallic, Frozen White, Magnetic Gray Metallic, Blue My Mind Metallic,

02:44and Lucid Red Metallic. The Ford Capri also has a lot to offer in terms of technology.

02:50At market launch, the vehicle is available with both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive,

02:55each with an extended-range battery made of nickel-manganese cobalt.

03:00The battery can even be pre-conditioned, either via the navigation system or manually,

03:05to optimize the range.

03:06The rear-drive version has a battery with a net capacity of 77 kilowatts per hour.

03:14The rear engine delivers an impressive 286 horsepower with a torque of 545 newton-meters,

03:20which enables the Capri to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 6.4 seconds.

03:26The top speed is 180 kilometers per hour and ranges of up to 6,267 kilometers are possible on a single

03:35charge. The vehicle is charged either via alternating current with 11 kilowatts or via direct current

03:41fast charging with up to 135 kilowatts. The all-wheel drive version, on the other hand,

03:48has a slightly higher charging capacity of 185 kilowatts and a battery with a capacity of 79 kilowatts

03:55per hour. An additional motor on the front axle generates a torque of 134 newton-m,

04:01which increases the total output to 340 horsepower. In this version, the Capri AVD accelerates from 0 to

04:10100 kilometers per hour in an impressive 5.3 seconds, also with a top speed of 180 kilometers per hour.

04:18The interior continues with consistent digitalization and a reduction to the essentials.

04:25A 4.6-inch touchscreen in the cockpit, which can even be swiveled, conceals the my private locker

04:31compartment and offers central access to all vehicle functions. The mega-console in the center

04:37console offers an impressive 17 liters of additional storage space. The driver's seat is electrically

04:44adjustable in 12 ways, has a memory function and massage, and is heated together with the steering

04:50wheel. Particularly practical is that the interior's pre-entry climate control can even be started

04:56remotely. Smartphones can be wirelessly paired with Ford Syncube via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto,

05:03and compatible devices can be charged inductively. A sound system with seven speakers including a

05:11soundbar and speed-dependent volume control ensures first-class audio enjoyment on the road.

05:15The premium version of the Capri takes the audio experience to a new level.

05:22The B&O sound system with 10 speakers including a soundbar and subwoofer offers a rich sound.

05:29The speed-dependent volume control and atmospheric ambient lighting create a first-class atmosphere

05:35in the interior. Additional features include optional AGR-certified ergonomic front seats,

05:42air conditioning via heat pump, and a panoramic glass roof for the Capri premium model.

05:50The new Ford Capri is available in Germany from €52,000 and comes with the extended-range battery
