00:38The state-of-the-art factory 56 produces 56 top-of-the-range models each year, including the renowned S-Class, which is known for its exclusivity and first-class workmanship.
00:48However, Sindelfingen is not only the birthplace of these impressive vehicles, it is also the location of the manufacturer, the individualization and personalization program from Mercedes-Benz, which ensures unique vehicle designs across all brands.
01:04The manufacturer combines the expertise of specialized employees in the areas of textile finishing, interior fittings, construction and special paint finishes in order to realize the individual wishes of customers for top-end vehicles.
01:20With the strategic further development of the manufacturing program, Mercedes-Benz is consistently continuing the tradition of craftsmanship and solidifying Sindelfingen as a leading production location for exclusive automobiles.
01:34Customers now have the opportunity to experience the manufacturing program firsthand at several locations at the Sindelfingen plant in the tradition-rich center of excellence in the existing manufacturing and, brand-new, in the manufacturing studio, which was officially opened on December 5, 2024.

02:50Whether it's selected paint finishes for the exterior or exclusive materials for the interior, the manufacturer offers numerous options for designing their very own dream car.
03:03The program has been a complete success, which is why we are now expanding it even further.
03:09In the new manufacturing studio, our customers will be able to watch live as their dream vehicle becomes reality.
03:15Selected equipment, which is produced by hand in the manufacturing, is installed in the respective vehicle there.

04:46This includes, for example, a leather headliner that is carefully sewn together from many individual components.
04:52The digitalization of individual work steps significantly speeds up the manufacturing processes and makes a significant contribution to quality assurance.
05:02Individual work phases are optimized using artificial intelligence.
05:06This technology can, for example, quickly and reliably detect the smallest irregularities in leather wood and thus release employees accordingly.
05:18The innovative manufacturing studio enables flexible customization of up to 20 vehicles per day, regardless of the model series.
05:25With the help of mobile driverless transport systems, the so-called autonomous guided vehicles, the customer vehicles are transported between the production clusters as required and without a fixed sequence.
05:44Each of the nine clusters in the manufacturing studio can be flexibly reached by these vehicles and operates independently of the cycle.
05:51This allows the customized equipment of a vehicle to be implemented particularly efficiently.
05:59The digital twin plays an important role in this, precisely monitoring every production progress and optimizing it if necessary.
06:07Even last-minute changes to the equipment can still be implemented in this way.
06:12All production stations are networked with each other via Memo 360, the digital production ecosystem of Mercedes-Benz.
06:21This means that all production data is available to employees in real-time.
06:28Another highlight is the innovative and resource-saving pixel paint process, which revolutionizes the diverse possibilities of multicolor vehicle painting.
06:39Inspired by the function of an inkjet printer, this new technology applies high-quality vehicle paint directly to the body with impressive precision.
06:46This creates tailor-made patterns and designs with the highest level of accuracy, ideal for individually designed vehicle dreams.
06:58Customers can select design elements that are applied to the vehicle in accordance with their ideas and technical feasibility.
07:03The Mercedes-Benz manufacturer individualization and personalization program offers a constantly growing range of equipment for selected model series from Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-AMG and Mercedes-Melbaugh.
07:18The portfolio includes an exclusive selection of materials, colors and surfaces that go beyond the standard options and create an incomparably individual experience.
07:28The focus here is on expanding the individualization options for customers in the top-end segment.
07:35From 2025, the S-Class will be available with numerous new manufacturer-exclusive colors and other options.

08:01Similar expansions are also planned for the sports car models from Mercedes-AMG.
