00:00Welcome to the new video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:11Today we're talking about a true cult object of automotive history,
00:15the Rolls-Royce Phantom Thrice Sadonka de Vil by Barker from 1937.
00:19Before we get started, feel free to subscribe so you don't miss any updates.
00:23This special Rolls-Royce is a real collector's item and a highlight for lovers of classic cars.
00:32Originally, a similar model served as the means of transport for the villain Auric Goldfinger in the James Bond film Goldfinger.
00:39In this Phantom 3 by Barker, the evil Auric was driven by his loyal assistant Orjob,
00:44a fearsome character who served as his butler, chauffeur and assassin.
00:48The Sadonka Devil body designed by Barker in London gives the Phantom 3 its unmistakable elegance and 1930s style.
01:01The restored Phantom that we're presenting today is based on the iconic design of the Goldfinger Rolls.
01:08With its two side panels painted in Bordeaux red, it reflects the luxurious color choice of its current owner.
01:13Under the hood, the Phantom 3 offers not only style but also performance.
01:21It is designed for a cruising speed of over 100 kmph and can therefore easily keep up on highways.
01:29Comfort is the top priority, as the rear shock absorbers automatically adapt to the road,
01:34while the chauffeur can manually adjust the front ones.
01:37For a ride without annoying vibrations and completely without wind noise, as befits a Rolls Royce.
01:46A true world of luxury awaits the guest inside.
01:49All seats are upholstered in Drelon fabric, which makes it particularly durable and comfortable.
01:55A material that is also used in the Queen's fleet.
01:58The fine wood panels made of rare bird's eye maple, which were originally processed in Sicily, add further accents.
02:08The driver's instrument panel is also impressive.
02:11It is reminiscent of an airplane pilot's cockpit with its multitude of switches and levers.
02:16This technical arsenal was standard for Rolls Royce chauffeurs at the time,
02:22who were specially trained to be able to service their cars independently.
02:29Another real highlight is the integrated hydraulic jack function on all four wheels,
02:33which is immediately ready for use in the event of a flat tire.
02:36So watch the video and be fascinated by the mix of luxurious comfort and historical technology.
