00:00Another guy that I feel like people have been talking about is Alexi Lafreniere.

00:05He's got one goal, three assists in 11 games, a team worst, minus nine.

00:12Just what's your evaluation of his start to the season here?

00:16Yeah, no, not good enough for what he's been given responsibility to do, right?

00:22Like, that's what comes with that contract.

00:26And he earned it.

00:27I thought he was lights out before he signed it.

00:30It's time to start putting it together a little bit again because it's there.

00:33We've seen stretches and long enough stretches.

00:36We've seen playoff seasons where he's been a real effective player.

00:41And guys go through this.

00:42If there's a tweak I'd make, it'd be like, get it off quicker and just hit the net.

00:47You don't even have to.

00:48If you get off a one-timer or a sweeper where you don't stick handle,

00:52goals are good, but they're not that good.

00:53It's going to lead to points.

00:54Either it goes in the net or it sits right on the doorstep.

00:57And, you know, and the coaching staff will tweak with that

01:01because I'm sure they've seen glimpses of what the ceiling could be.

01:05Make sure you're doing the littler things right, changing hard,

01:08floor checking, defending.

01:10Like, don't be on the ice for goals against or chances against.

01:13Some of that's empty netters.

01:14But, and then your game's going to start to open up a little bit.

01:18Teams are going to back off and you'll get more time and space.

01:20Teams will begin.
