00:00So, today we have an absolute highlight, namely a tuning accessory that we actually didn't know existed until about a week ago, namely a so-called keyhole cover.
00:14We got it fresh from China. It's a relatively strange thing.
00:19At some point, someone wrote to us on Facebook asking if we knew where to buy keyhole covers.
00:26To be honest, we didn't know what they were or that they existed until then.
00:30So we did a bit of googling and quickly came across some such parts from China and thought we'd write a report about them for our tuning Wikipedia.
00:42I think it'll now explain what they actually are, what options there are and so on and so forth.
00:50I think these things are made to glow at night.
00:54They charge up with light and glow. This one isn't the case, it's made of aluminum and painted matte blue.
01:00Um, anyway, we wrote this, um, this report about it, um, explained what it was and then failed miserably in our search for pictures
01:09and contacted a Chinese company that sells the covers for, I think, 5 euros or 6 euros and asked if we could use one of the pictures for our blog post.
01:19Um, they agreed straight away and asked if we wanted one of those parts.
01:22And um, that was a weekend and without me or anyone else, I don't know who, writing back, we had one of those parts in our mailbox 2 or 3 days later.
01:34You probably found the address in the email signature and yeah, whatever.
01:41Um, they didn't know whether we even had a car with an ignition lock.
01:45I'd say, hardly any newer cars have that anymore, but have a start, stop button somewhere or something.

01:54Um, now we just have to see if it works.
01:56There's some adhesive tape on it that comes off pretty easily, like a protective film.
02:02Now there's double-sided adhesive tape underneath and it's pretty obvious how to install it.
02:07There's a little groove here that should line up with the ignition switch position if possible, so that it looks a bit like it should fit.

02:38Now we just have to check if the key fits.

02:43I think each one has a different ignition lock.

02:49Um, anyway, it just happens to fit our Audi A3 and yes, the key fits in 2.
02:54That looks pretty tight.
02:59It shouldn't be any thicker, because otherwise the key would probably scratch off the paint every time it tears, but that's not the case here.
03:06Everything is good and yes, it works well.
03:13It can still be turned normally, it doesn't get in the way.
03:16Whether the adhesive tape will hold permanently or whether it will eventually give way due to heat and cold, I have no idea.
03:22Um, I would say, if you like it, you could probably fix the whole thing permanently with a little bit of glue.
03:30It actually looks pretty cool.
03:32Not absolutely amazing, I would say, but for 5 euros, who cares?
03:36Let's see if it gives you 10 to 20 more horsepower.
