00:06China's latest attempt to redefine luxury SUVs for the people.
00:11In recent years, China has become a serious player in the automotive world.
00:16More impressive luxury models, often reminiscent of European classics, are entering the market.
00:23A current example is the Trump S9 from GT, one of the largest Chinese car brands.
00:30This luxury SUV could be seen as an affordable answer to the Range Rover, or at least as an interpretation that incorporates European design ideas and offers enough luxury to be taken seriously.
00:44The S9 was unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show, where it surprised everyone with its elegant and high-quality appearance.
00:51The front end features a striking light strip that connects slim, narrow LED headlights.
00:57This is complemented by a black lower grille and large air intakes.
01:02Flush-mounted door handles and the option of a two-toned paint finish ensure an even more sophisticated appearance.
01:10A small chrome strip visually underlines the separation between the upper and lower parts of the vehicle on the sides and rear.
01:17All of these details contribute to the luxurious appearance of the Trump S9.
01:23At the rear, there are LED taillights, an additional light strip, and a large tailgate.
01:29The dimensions of the Trump G-S9 are quite impressive.
01:33It measures just over 5 meters in length, about 2 meters in width, and around 1.8 meters in height, with a generous wheelbase of approximately 2.9 meters.
01:43Inside, the Trump G-S9 combines design elements reminiscent of the new Hyundai Palisade and numerous new Chinese premium models.
01:54The cockpit is dominated by a sleek two-spoke steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster, and a large infotainment screen positioned centrally on the dashboard.
02:04These days, these features almost always include two wireless charging pads, two cupholders, and a split-center console.
02:14The model is offered as a six-seat model, with the second row offering particularly comfortable interiors.
02:22A large screen descends from the roof and is complemented by folding tables and a small screen for controlling the climate and audio systems.
02:30The captain's chairs in the second row are electrically adjustable and offer a significantly enhanced travel experience for rear passengers.
02:40In hybrid technology, all variants are powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 162 horsepower.
02:50In the base version, an electric motor with 234 horsepower supplements the drive, resulting in an all-wheel drive configuration and a total output of 397 horsepower.
03:01The top models even increase the system output to a remarkable 508 horsepower.
