00:00The greenwashing method is used by some people to make them believe that they are

00:15virtuous on the ecological level. In French, we say eco-blanchiment. It's a way to

00:21blanchir these mauvaises practices environmentalists, to be presented

00:24as well as the oil. It's simply the diffusion of false information,

00:30and the publicity mensongère. And in the case Total, what's happening?

00:33All start in 2021 when Total change the name and becomes Total Energy. Total

00:40is a major actor of the transition energy. Total says that he will respect the

00:46objectives of the Paris Accord. 97% of his production of energy is

00:52gas and petrol. The energy fossiles are the main responsable of the climate crisis. With

00:59such a number, Total will not reach the carbon neutrality in 2050 as it is engaged. The only

01:06contraint imposed by the French justice, it's that Total retire all its

01:09publicities mensongères. But for the rest, for the production of gas and

01:14petrol of Total, nothing will change. Total continue its projects the

01:18way to be contested. On en parle beaucoup sur AFI, notamment au Mozambique,

01:22ou encore en Ouganda. En Ouganda, il y a une plainte d'ailleurs qui a été

01:25déposée. Alors pas pour greenwashing, mais pour atteinte aux droits humains et

01:28pour l'accaparation des terres, des populations locales pour construire son

01:33gigantisque gazoduc. Total, en fait, n'a pas l'intention de modifier du tout sa

01:37politique.
