A shocking clip has surfaced showing U.S. Vice President JD Vance allegedly suggesting that his Hindu wife, Usha Vance, should convert to Christianity — sparking outrage and debate across social media. The remarks, caught on camera, have triggered discussions on faith, identity, and politics in America. Is this a personal belief taken out of context or a deeper reflection of Vance’s political ideology?

00:00Eventually, that she is somehow moved by the same thing that I was moved in by church,
00:05yeah, I honestly do wish that, because I believe in the Christian gospel, and I hope eventually
00:11my wife comes to see it the same way.
00:13But if she doesn't, then God says everybody has free will, and so that doesn't cause a
00:18problem for me.
00:19That's something you work out with your friends, with your family, with the person that you
00:23love.
00:24Again, one of the most important Christian principles is that you respect free will.
00:28Well, Usha's closer to the priests who baptized me than maybe I am.
00:33They talk about this stuff.
00:34My attitude is you figure this stuff out as a family, and you trust in God to have a plan,
00:40and you try to follow it as best as you can.
00:42Now, you asked a personal question about our interfaith household, and yes, my wife did
00:50not grow up Christian.
00:50I think it's fair to say that she grew up in a Hindu family, but not in a particularly
00:55religious family in either direction.
00:57In fact, when I met my wife, we were both, I would consider myself an agnostic or an atheist,
01:01and that's what I think she would have considered herself as well.
01:04You know, everybody has to come to their own arrangement here.
01:07The way that we've come to our arrangement is, she's my best friend, we talk to each other
01:11about this stuff.
01:12So we decided to raise our kids Christian.
01:15Our two oldest kids who go to school, they go to a Christian school.
01:18Our eight-year-old did his first communion about a year ago.
01:21So that's the way that we have come to our arrangement.
01:25But thank you.
01:30My eight-year-old was also very proud of his first communion.
01:32Thank you, guys.
01:33I'll tell him that Ole Miss wishes him the best.
01:35But I think everybody has to have this own conversation when you're in a marriage.
01:40I mean, it's true for friends of mine who are in Protestant and Catholic marriages,
01:45friends of mine who are in, you know, atheist and Christian marriages.
01:48You just got to talk to your—the only advice I can give is you've just got to talk to the
01:52person that God has put you with, and you've got to make those decisions as a family unit.
01:57For us, it works out.
01:58Now, most Sundays, Usha will come with me to church.
02:01As I've told her and I've said publicly, and I'll say now in front of 10,000 of my closest
02:05friends, do I hope eventually that she is somehow moved by the same thing that I was
02:11moved in by church?
02:13Yeah.
02:13I honestly—I do wish that because I believe in the Christian gospel, and I hope eventually
02:18my wife comes to see it the same way.
02:20But if she doesn't, then God says everybody has free will, and so that doesn't cause a
02:26problem for me.
02:27That's something you work out with your friends, with your family, with the person that
02:30you love.
02:31Again, the most—one of the most important Christian principles is that you respect free
02:35will.
02:36Usha's closer to the priests who baptized me than maybe I am.
02:40They talk about this stuff.
02:41My attitude is you figure this stuff out as a family, and you trust in God to have a
02:47plan, and you try to follow it as best as you can.
