00:00Welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:10Today, it's all about the new Harley-Davidson Panamerica Street.
00:14You can find the link to read the article in the video description.
00:21Harley-Davidson is expanding its Enduro series and is presenting a street-oriented alternative
00:26to the previous Panamerica 52 Special with the Panamerica Street.
00:31The heart of the innovations is the chassis.
00:35A 17-inch front wheel replaces the previous 19-inch wheel of the Special,
00:39ensuring more precise handling on asphalt.
00:43At the same time, the suspension travel has been reduced in order to optimize the street performance.
00:49While the Special continues to focus on versatility and off-road capability,
00:53the Saint is aimed at riders who mainly ride on paved roads.
00:58The differences between the two models lie primarily in the chassis.
01:02The suspension travel of the street has been adjusted to 140mm at the front and 130mm at the rear,
01:09while the Special offers more scope for off-road use with 190mm at the front and 180mm at the rear.
01:16The ST's street-oriented orientation is also clearly evident in the ground clearance.
01:21At 165mm, it sits lower than the Special, which has 210mm of ground clearance.
01:30Despite the changes, the automatic lowering of the chassis for easier maneuvering is retained,
01:35as is the automatic adjustment of the preload to the load.
01:38However, the Saint lacks the semi-active chassis, which is optionally available on the Special.
01:46Instead, the damping on the new shower shock absorber and the fork can be adjusted manually.
01:53Another highlight of the Saint are the Michelin Scorcher sports tires,
01:57which are specially designed for maximum grip and performance on the road.
02:00The smaller front wheel and the adapted tires underline the model's road-going philosophy.
02:08At the same time, the Saint is slightly lighter at 238kg dry weight than the Special,
02:14which weighs 24kg without additional options such as the semi-active chassis.
02:18Under the hood, the proven technology is retained.
02:24The liquid-cooled V2 engine with a displacement of 252cc produces 152hp at 9,000 rpm
02:31and a torque of 127Nm at 6,750 rpm.
02:36This Revolution Max 250 engine delivers impressive performance,
02:43which is available on both the ST and the Special.
02:46The ST's electronics package is also impressive.
02:50Like the Special, it features cornering abs, traction control,
02:54and selectable riding modes such as rain, road, and sport,
02:58which have been adapted to the ST's new chassis settings.
03:00Both models feature a 6.8-inch TFT color display that clearly displays all important information.
03:09However, another difference can be seen in the equipment.
03:13The ST does without off-road-specific elements such as the standard engine guard and center stand,
03:19which are standard on the Special.
03:22Instead, it scores points with LED lighting, USB ports, and adjustable seat heights.
03:27As for the price, the Panamerica 250 Street starts at €99,900 in Germany.
03:35It is available in the color Billiard Gray,
03:37while the color variants Vivid Black and Billiard Red are available for an additional charge.
