The Attorney General told the Senate today that while the Orders to amend the amendments to the Excise Duties on Tobacco Products and Alcoholic Beverages are meant to raise revenue, they are also meant to encourage people not to smoke and to drink less alcohol.

The AG spoke on the matter in response to points made by the Opposition on Wednesday.
