00:00Yeah, right now you guys are 4-3. You're in the playoff hunt right now, but this division is so stacked.
00:07I mean, your division is insane. What is sort of the next half of the season going to look like that's going to get you guys into the playoffs?
00:15Yeah, no, we're going to have to go on a streak here for sure.
00:17You know, just seeing the teams that we're competing against, there's, you know, the best division in football is looking like for two years in a row.
00:26So we just got to be on our P's and Q's and go on a run here. So that way, you know, when it's all said and done, we put ourselves in a good position to get in the playoffs.
00:33And what have you noticed about your quarterback, Caleb Williams? From year one, obviously, being a rookie is really, really difficult, especially playing quarterback in this league.
00:41What sort of changes and jumps have you seen him make into year two with you guys?
00:46Honestly, I just feel like he's had continuous improvement. You know, that's, you know, quarterback play as a whole.
00:50You know, understanding this offense, obviously, is being new this year.
00:53He's done a great job of understanding the scheme and the system.
00:56And then when it comes to throwing the football, being a quarterback in this league, I feel like he's improved, you know, in those aspects as well.
01:02So I think he's on a steady path, constant improvement, and I'm excited where he's going.
01:06Well, and how would you also characterize your relationship with him?
01:10I think that's kind of on the same vein. You know, it's a, you know, continuous improvement for us two in the chemistry we've had together.
01:17You know, we've been able to connect on several different plays this year, make some big plays.
01:21And obviously, there's room for improvement as well. So just looking to minimize the errors and maximize the successes.
01:27And of course, right now, you guys are playing in Soldier Field.
01:30But here in the foreseeable future, the Bears are going to be moving to the suburbs in a brand new stadium.
01:35Obviously, that's really exciting for all, you know, the nice bells and whistles.
01:38But there have been some Bears fans that are a little sad that you guys won't be in the city anymore.
01:43You won't have the Chicago skyscape behind you.
01:46Does that make you sad at all?
01:47Are you excited for this new journey that you guys are taking to the suburbs?
01:51Yeah, I mean, for me, I'm super excited to have played in Soldier.
01:54You know, for me, I leave that, you know, opinion up to the fans.
01:57You know, the Chicago fans are very faithful.
01:59So, you know, who am I to say, you know, where that stadium should be and, you know, where, you know, Chicago Bears fans should enjoy their football, you know, coming from the West Coast.
02:07So I let them have that judgment.
02:09But at the end of the day, I think, regardless, we're going to go out there and put a good product, put Bears football out there on display wherever we got to play at.
02:15I want to ask about, obviously, you were teammates with Michael Penix Jr. when you guys were at Washington, you know, back in college football.
02:23What do you think about his success that he's had so far with Atlanta?
02:27Is it cool to see a former teammate of yours also thriving in the NFL?
02:30Oh, yeah, absolutely.
02:33That's my, that's my dog, you know, every week to see what he's putting up, what he's doing over there.
02:38And, you know, I think they have a great thing going over there in Atlanta.
02:40So it's super exciting to see, you know, him have his success, you know, just knowing his story and who he is as a person as well.
02:46And that goes for all my, you know, UW guys, my, my, JP, you know, with the Saints, my boy, J-Mac, my boys getting, well, both my boys getting healthy right now.
02:54But I'm excited to see all them shine, you know, just got to play Roger Rosengarten, my tackle from college, who was at the Ravens.
03:00So shout out to all the UW cats.
03:03Do you ever hope someday maybe you guys will reconnect and play on the same team again someday?
03:08Sure, yeah, maybe when it's like year 15 and, you know, we're going to contract, something like that, we can hook up.
03:14But, you know, that would, that would be, that would be dope.
03:17But we'll, we'll see where that goes.
03:18You know, you never know.
03:20So I was reading a little bit about, you know, your back history, which is so interesting.
03:24Obviously, you were born in Utah, you were raised in Las Vegas.
03:27I'm curious to see the growth of a, of a town like Las Vegas right now.
03:32For the longest time, there were no professional sports teams in Vegas.
03:34And now it seems like it's kind of the mecca of, of the sports hub right now.
03:38Just as somebody who's lived in Vegas, what has it been like to sort of see the growth of that city and embrace basically all these sports teams that you're now seeing come into the city?
03:47Man, it's been amazing.
03:48That's definitely, you know, an underrated part of Vegas right now.
03:51Just, just the experience of it prior to that.
03:54And now, now, you know, just being a big sports fan is amazing.
03:57You know, seeing the Aces do the thing with the Golden Knights came in, it was amazing.
04:00Obviously, you know, got to be partially a Raiders fan being from the city, got the A's coming in.
04:05So, you know, it's just so excitement, exciting for the city, especially, you know, after all those years, people telling us we couldn't have a sports team and all that.
04:13So now we're proving all wrong and they're all doing great things.
04:15So.
04:16So.
