Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended an invitation to international — including Ukrainian — media outlets to visit the area where thousands of Ukrainian troops are reportedly surrounded by Russian forces. Putin stated that Moscow is willing to “pause” military operations for several hours to allow journalists to “witness the reality on the ground” and speak directly with the encircled soldiers. The Kremlin has described the situation as “progressing favorably” for Russia, citing continued advances in the Kupiansk and Krasnoarmeysk regions
