00:00The Independent Commission for Infrastructure has recommended the filing of charges against the individuals who had an alleged hand in the anomalous and ghost flood control projects.
00:14These individuals are Senators Joel Villanueva, Jingo Yastrada, former Akubicol Partilist Representative Zaldico, and former Caloocan 2nd District Representative Mitch Kahayon Uy.
00:27Earlier today, ICI Chairperson and retired Supreme Court Associate Justice Andres Reyes Jr. identified these individuals as having alleged involvement in the anomalies as the body marked its 44th day of investigations and case buildup in the massive corruption scandal.
00:45The independent body has also recommended charges against Commission on Audit Commissioner Mario Lepana and former Department of Public Works and Highways Undersecretary Roberto Bernardo.
00:57Based on testimonies and affidavits of resource persons invited by the ICI, Reyes said the individuals had alleged parts in obtaining bribes or unwanted monetary benefits from flood control project contractors.
