02:12ESPN, Shom Sharanya,
02:15who's been working this story
02:16all day and has rarely
02:18moved out of that seat in the Los Angeles
02:20studio as he's doing interviews.
02:22I guess the question
02:24a lot of folks are asking right now is
02:26is this the tip of the
02:28iceberg or is this the iceberg?
02:32Ernie, if you
02:32just look at the trajectory of this,
02:35the origin dates all the way
02:36back and stems from Jonte Porter, the
02:38two-way player with the Raptors, when
02:40he got banned from the NBA
02:42and then subsequently charged by
02:44federal authorities in the summer of
02:462024. And at that point, Ernie,
02:48they had about a handful of
02:50co-conspirators and defendants. So
02:52now we're a year and a half later
02:54and over 30 arrests
02:56made today. So in over a
02:58year and a half, you multiply
03:00the initial five or so defendants
03:03to over 30. So multiply
03:04it by six. And so
03:06no one exactly knows. Everyone
03:08around the league is watching. They're waiting
03:10to see people that we might not even
03:12know are involved, are waiting to see if their name
03:14gets brought up. Because at the end of the day,
03:16this is where it's at. An FBI source
03:19told me today that they are continuing
03:20to gather information, seeing
03:23who out of this new group
03:24of arrests are going to cooperate
03:26with the authorities. So
03:28it'll come down to what more information
03:30can the FBI gather? What can
03:32they prove in the court of law?
03:34And that's what we're going to find out
03:36really over the next eight to 12
03:38months. You know, Shams, I
03:40asked you a little bit earlier, do you
03:42think the NBA dropped
03:44the ball? I think when
03:46the integrity of the game is in question, you
03:48got to be like, no, no, no.
03:50We got to look at this. Did the NBA
03:52drop the ball with the whole
03:54Rozier situation going back to when he was
03:56playing for the Hornets?
03:59It's hard to say they dropped the ball
04:00Chuck for this because they they did
04:02what was under their jurisdiction, which
04:04is they took his phone
04:06from him as part of their investigation.
04:09They spoke to other people around
04:10him, but they also don't have the subpoena
04:12power and the ability to go
04:14talk to these other co-conspirators,
04:16these defendants that have been named
04:18in the initial case that
04:20clearly have some crossover with
04:22the illegal poker fixing
04:24situation as well.
04:26So they took Terry Rozier's phone.
04:28They investigated him at that point.
04:31A spokesperson with the NBA
04:32said they could not find enough
04:34of evidence. There was there's not
04:36enough evidence to discipline Terry
04:38Rozier. The FBI, obviously, over the
04:40course of two and a half, two and a half
04:41years later. So this started in March
04:432023. It took the FBI two and a half
04:46years to come down with these charges
04:47and that included subpoena powers,
04:49that included interviews, that included
04:50getting even more materials. There
04:52were other people involved, right, from
04:54the first charge with the John
04:56Porter situation that led to all
04:57these today.
04:58Any idea how this is being accepted in the
05:02league offices right now? I know we
05:04released that we read the statement
05:06that they released, but is this a crisis
05:10or is it that stage at this point? How
05:13would you describe it, Shams?
05:16I would describe it as taking it with a
05:18ton of seriousness. That's the term that
05:20I heard from all parts of the league
05:22office. And it's also the unknown. My
05:25understanding, I reported it today on
05:27first take, the league had no idea about
05:30these arrests coming this morning. No, no,
05:33no idea. They did not have knowledge
05:34about Chauncey Billups being arrested. They
05:36did not have knowledge about Terry
05:38Rozier being arrested this morning. This
05:40was the FBI. This was Kash Patel and his
05:42group and they led it. And that's why, you
05:46know, in Chauncey Billups' case, he was
05:49coaching in a game last night. Several
05:51hours later, the feds essentially show
05:53up at his home in Portland, Oregon at
05:566 a.m. Terry Rozier was sitting on the
05:58Miami Heat bench last night in that
06:01game in Orlando. He's at his Orlando
06:03hotel because the team stayed overnight.
06:05The feds show up there at 6 a.m. They
06:07had no idea this was coming. And so now
06:09the league is just in the form of
06:11gathering information, seeing what's in
06:13the indictments. And at the end of the
06:15day, everyone is waiting to see what
06:17happens once everyone, Damon Jones,
06:20Chauncey Billups, Terry Rozier, all the
06:22other 25 plus defendants have their
06:26day in court. And that process will
06:28start in late November and early
06:29December for Chauncey Billups and
06:31Terry Rozier, who I'm told will fight
06:33this with vigor. And they think this
06:35will be at least a 6 to 12 month
06:37process.
06:37Listen, I think from a common sense
06:41standpoint, we got some nervous people
06:44out there right now. They involved in
06:46this. I think we'd have our heads in
06:48the sand and think there was only
06:50three guys. But do you really I mean,
06:53honestly, I think there's a nervous
06:55people out there right now because
06:57gambling is so prevalent in sports. I
07:01mean, me and Kenny do commercials for
07:03companies. Shaq does commercials. I
07:06mean, everybody does commercials, but
07:08you just can't cross that line for the
07:13integrity of the game. But I think it's
07:15fair to say there's a nervous people
07:17out there.
07:18Chuck, I'm just going to go with the
07:19numbers. A year and a half ago, we
07:21had about five co-conspirators and
07:23defendants. A year and a half later,
07:25we're at over 30. So about 35 in total
07:27now. So I mean, just I'm just doing
07:31I'm just looking at math. I don't know
07:33where we're going to be in a year and
07:34a half. I don't know where we're going
07:35to be in six months, eight months. But
07:37the trajectory, the origin was there.
07:39The origin was there. The trajectory
07:41is there. And there's no doubt the
07:43FBI and a source told me today, they're
07:45seeing who else will cooperate here
07:47from this new batch of arrests.
07:49Shams, as always, great reporting.
07:51Thanks for the time. We appreciate
07:53you. Thank you.
07:55And we'll take a break here on
07:57Inside the NBA presented by American
07:59Express. And when we come back,
08:01highlights from San Francisco, the
08:03Nuggets and the Warriors in a beauty
08:05tonight in game two of our double dip.
08:19Is presented by American Express.
08:21There's nothing like platinum.
08:25Back here inside Studio J before
08:27we hit the Denver Golden State
08:28highlights. Kenny, you got something
08:29to say after we after we spoke with
08:32Shams. Yeah, I just wanted to add,
08:34you know, because I know we even
08:36mentioned about. Everyone like how
08:39the NBA is so associated with with
08:41the gambling with the gaming
08:43community and right now in terms of
08:45all of the different sites, you
08:47know, there's a difference between
08:49legalized gaming and illegal. And
08:53so abusive behavior is what leads
08:57to illegal activity. And so and an
09:01and an abusive behavior and in
09:03gambling, it leads to an addiction. So
09:05we always talk about how can a guy
09:06who's making twenty six million
09:08dollars do such a thing or if or
09:11possibly do such a thing. If that
09:13happened, you know, it's an
09:15addiction that leads to illogical
09:17thought. And so for me, you know, I'm
09:20hoping that all of those guys are they
09:22are presumed innocence. But it's in a
09:24bigger term. It's about the abusive
09:27nature of gambling, which leads to
09:30addiction and just like other things
09:32in life. But not that we know that
09:34there is. I said that first of all,
09:36there is. Hold on. Let's let me get
09:37in. Can I understand. I'm not going
09:39to give you a hall pass on this
09:40addiction stuff. I'm going to just
09:42say this. Chauncey is separate from
09:43the other two. As a basketball, any
09:46player, football, pickleball, whatever,
09:50there is never a reason to bet on
09:53your sport. I don't want to hear that
09:55FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, ESPN
09:58Bet. Yeah. And they could be all
10:02involved in sports. There's never a
10:05reason for a player to fix a game.
10:08I don't know. 100 percent. And I'm
10:11just going to stop there. We just
10:13agree on that. But we're not just
10:14going to say because they're betting
10:15on games. They're addicted. No, I
10:17can say Chauncey. Chauncey is
10:18separate than these other two. How
10:19many how many times have you been
10:20asked tonight? Just tonight. Why
10:23would someone do that? That has
10:26everything to lose have everything
10:28in there. It's just if this is
10:30presumed stupidity. But the why
10:32where does the stupidity come from
10:34a lot of you. But I don't think
10:35but I'm not just going to say
10:37people just cause they're doing
10:38this. They got a gambling problem.
10:40If if I made $26 million and I'm
10:44and I'm trying to bet to win $200,000
10:47that is an illogical thought. They're
10:49just stupid. It's just a logical
10:51thought. So it has to come from
10:53somewhere. It just doesn't come out
10:54the air. And I blame some of that
10:56to it. And as you said earlier
10:57tonight, Shaqs, it's always made
10:59abundantly clear what you can and
11:01cannot do. And I understand what
11:03you're saying, Kenny, but you still
11:05have a choice when you have a
11:07choice not to do something. When
11:08you have a choice not to jeopardize
11:10your empire and not to embarrass
11:12your family. Yes, indeed. You
11:13should always make the right
11:14choice. So I agree what you're
11:16saying with the thing. But I also
11:17agree what you're saying, Chuck.
11:19There's never reason to fix a
11:20game. Never, ever. And again,
11:23innocent until proven guilty.
11:24These guys were they were
11:25arrested. They faced charges, but
11:28we will. Again, I think it's
11:30going to be a long drawn out
11:31process. It's going to be a long
11:32drawn out process. It's going to
11:33be a lot of damn sleepless nights
11:35out there, too. Judging from what
11:37Shams told us earlier. Okay. Now
11:39highlights two game night in the
11:41NBA and two unbelievable games.
11:43This was the second one.
11:45Stephen Curry. The Joker season
11:49opener for the Nuggets, the last
11:50team to open their season. Good
11:52power. Hey, Cam Johnson gonna
11:54help them. He didn't have a great
11:55night tonight, but I think he's
11:57going to help them a lot. Sure.
11:58Going to help him tonight, though.
12:00Now, Forford with a block. He
12:02going to help him, too. Look at
12:04what a night for Aaron. Oh, right
12:07back at you. Oh, put that
12:09out. His first seven threes.
12:11Jimmy Butler. 29 25 game and
12:16then Jamal Murray. Oh, that's
12:19sweet. Yes, it is. You got to
12:21make him the first time. But this
12:24guy is just. Oh, my people should
12:28be an old man. Not old man
12:30Hoffa. He is still getting it
12:32done. First half story was Aaron
12:33Gordon. Seven out of seven from
12:35deep. Look like my boy Rick Fox
12:37up there off that double. Ah. Man.
12:42And this, I mean, he tied his
12:44career high for threes in the
12:45game in the first half alone. And
12:47he had 25 points. 70 to 61
12:50Denver's lead going to the third.
12:53Come on, man. He makes it look
12:54Steph Curry just incredible. And he
12:59makes it. He made it look pretty
13:00easy, too. Aaron Gordon again for
13:03three. Good tight game. 83 79 and
13:10Steph contact and floats for a
13:14couple. Oh, man. Oh, man. Oh, man.
13:17Hoffa. I mean, he's been doing the
13:21same thing with the Celtics and
13:22now he's doing it with the Golden
13:24State Warriors. Did it with the
13:25Sixers. Sixers. Oh, my God. Oh,
13:28look at the bounce for Jamal Murray.
13:31So we go to the fourth all tied up
13:34at 94. And it's that guy again,
13:36Aaron Gordon. And look at him. He
13:39didn't get off me. Only Will
13:41Richard. Will Richard pretty
13:42played. Had some pretty good
13:43minutes for Golden State. Rookie
13:44out of Florida. This guy had a
13:46pretty good. Man, look at this
13:47here. That's great defense, too.
13:52Meantime, you guys have talked
13:56about the size advantage in this
13:57game for. Get off me, little
14:00man. Brandon Pajemski. Finding
14:03that out. I don't think I've ever
14:06switched as much as I was a guard
14:08playing that big. Did he do it
14:10again, Shaq? Yes, he did. This
14:12is the one. The next one was the
14:14one that was impressive. I mean,
14:16that was impressive. This is the
14:17one right here. 120 to 117. Yeah,
14:20look how deep this is. Oh, jeez.
14:24We are tied at 120. What was
14:29he saying? Denver's got one more
14:30chance. Joker. Oh, no. Great
14:34play, though. What was he saying?
14:36Kenny when the score was 27-16. Oh,
14:39shit. What was he saying? Chuck,
14:41this game's over, man. I didn't
14:42know. No, I still think it's
14:44sure. I still think the
14:45Nuggets got a better team. When
14:46you head to overtime, you saw
14:48Steph make it a three-point game.
14:50Oh, boy. And one. Somehow a
14:52three-point play the old-fashioned
14:54way for Gordon. Oh, good
14:57deep, Steph. Bad pass. Here's
14:58here's a Jonathan coming in a
14:59moment. Oh, you're on the
15:00move. He had 14 and five.
15:05Horford. Game, set, and match.
15:08Night, night. Oh, yeah, don't
15:11run back on defense. Go on
15:12walk. Go on walk. 42-point night
15:16for Steph Curry. What a game. What a
15:19game. What a game. What a
15:20game. 50-point night for Aaron
15:22Gordon in the loss. 137-131 is
15:27your final. Shaq, you were
15:28right, man. You know, you
15:29were down nine at the half. I
15:32mean, up nine at the half and
15:33you said, Golden State's coming
15:34back to win the game. You
15:35don't hear that music? Chuck,
15:37remember this movie? Warriors
15:40come out to play. Look, no, I
15:43said it yesterday. When it comes
15:45to experience, I like those
15:46five. I mean, you know,
15:47Kamingos is the youngest guy
15:49there, but I like Dre. You
15:50know, I like Jimmy. You know,
15:51I like Steph. You know, I like
15:52Draymond. So, you know, they
15:54came out hot. You know, this
15:55guy played great. He had 50
15:57points tonight. Shot very
15:58well, but can he play like that
16:00all season? And, you know,
16:02Golden State, we know. I don't
16:03think he's going to play that
16:05way all season. It's going to
16:07be record setting. You never
16:09know. Yeah, this was a
16:12terrific game. I know we got a
16:14lot of BS going on behind the
16:16scenes. The last couple of
16:17nights have been really
16:18incredible. Like Wimby last
16:20night was incredible. We didn't
16:21even get a chance to talk
16:22about it all day. BJ Edgecombe
16:24from Philly. BJ Edgecombe. My
16:25sixes are up there. But tonight
16:28we had two really good games. She
16:31was fabulous. But we'll get to
16:35that in just a few moments.
16:38But this one, before we go to
16:41break, this falls in the
16:43category of you just can't make
16:45that stuff up. Aaron Gordon has
16:49made 10 three pointers tonight
16:51tying Terry Rozier in 2020 for
16:54the most in a season opener in
16:56NBA history. I kid you not. We'll
16:59take a break. When we come back,
17:01the finals rematch. Probably
17:03should go to a commercial
17:04left of that. Thunder and
17:05Pacers. You can't make this
17:08up. I'm going to Portland
17:10tomorrow night. You can't make
17:12it up. It's got by us without
17:16any of us noticing it. As Tizzle
17:19puts on X, shout out David
17:20Adelman for being the first
17:21coach ever featured on an inside
17:23the NBA. I actually saw that
17:25earlier. See? No. I saw that
17:28earlier actually. No you did not.
17:31Yes, I did see that. You would
17:33have brought it up. There was no
17:34reason to bring it up. We were
17:35talking about the Warriors. We
17:36were just helping Shaq out with
17:38the whole David Adelman. The
17:40whole David Adelman. You had to
17:41be here all night to understand
17:42exactly. I know Steve Kerr is
17:44about that. Yeah, you sure do.
17:46Yeah. Oklahoma City in Indiana.
17:59Rematch of last year's NBA
18:01final. And Oklahoma City coming
18:04off a double overtime win over
18:06Houston in their opener and just
18:08doing SGA things there. Of course
18:12Indiana without Tyrese Halliburton.
18:15Miles Turner season. Yeah. What's
18:18that little guard name? T.J.
18:19McConnell? Yeah. He's out with a
18:21hammy. 21 in the first half for
18:25SGA. Yeah, but they're still
18:26going to play hard despite not
18:28having those guys. Oh, they got
18:29they got a lot of grit. That's
18:31for sure. Good. Oh my goodness.
18:35That's a charge. No charge. You
18:37can just run over people. Stop
18:38flopping. Play some defense. Come
18:40on. Stop running over people.
18:41Play some defense. Why don't you
18:42stand there for anyway? Try and
18:43block a shot or something. Hey,
18:44great ball moving. And Taylin
18:47Peter, the rookie, knocks down
18:49the three part of a 12 to 2 run.
18:52Aaron Wiggins. Tell you what,
18:53boy. OKC just plug and play. Yeah,
18:55and how about this guy? A.J.
18:57Mitchell. What a game. They're
18:58impressive. Know what he's
18:59doing. All his draft picks can
19:01play. Chet Holmberg got the lob
19:05from Isaiah Hartenstein. Oh, go
19:08with him. And Siakam. 32 and 15.
19:12Pascal Siakam, the real deal. Oklahoma
19:15City up three after three. A.J.
19:18Mitchell had 26. A.J. Off of the
19:22and EOKC bench. In the middle of
19:23the center. Matherin had 36 and
19:2711 for Indiana. How time would
19:28K.J. could play? His
19:29name is AJ. Oh. Matherin
19:32driving again and hitting that
19:34tough floater. Yeah. With
19:35Tyrese. He's got the three-point
19:36lead. You're going to get a lot
19:37I'm going to get a lot more time for Tyrese.
19:39SGA, 110-109.
19:44I'm going to let you know that.
19:46I'm going to start claiming him on that W-2.
19:50They're down, Indiana down one and can't get anything to fall there.
19:56But after an SGA missed free throw, Siakam back.
20:03That's good defense.
20:04We are tied at 113 with six-and-a-half seconds.
20:07Pass his ball! Pass his ball, Shade!
20:10He should have gave that one up.
20:11Yeah, he should have gave it up to Lou Dort.
20:13Yeah, you got to trust him.
20:14So let's go to overtime.
20:15I don't care what he is from three.
20:16I think they said one for 12 at that point.
20:18He might have been two to 13.
20:20Oh.
20:21SGA untouched to the rim.
20:23Man, this dude makes some tough shots.
20:26Yeah, I mean, Lou Dort all over him and he makes it.
20:29Tied at 122.
20:32SGA and OKC's got the lead again.
20:35Get off me, Lou Man.
20:37Till Benedict Matherin did that.
20:39Right back at him, Ben.
20:41Tied at 124.
20:43Clock winding down.
20:44No foul.
20:45Yeah, he did.
20:46What do you say we go to double overtime?
20:49Double overtime.
20:50Second straight game.
20:51Nobody's ever done that to start a season.
20:53Play two overtime, two double overtime games.
20:57There's SGA.
20:59And that's Matherin fouling out, 147, 126, top and up top.
21:05Indiana got the lead back.
21:06But here comes Aaron Wiggins, the man who saved basketball, knocks it down.
21:12SGA.
21:15And 55 on the night for Shea Gilgis-Alexander.
21:19This was a steal.
21:20This was a steal.
21:21The ref blew this call.
21:22Oh, yeah.
21:23Hey, isn't it funny that they had one of those, the timeout call by Durant the other night
21:27that wasn't recognized and then they didn't recognize this one.
21:32Yeah.
21:33And they give OJC another chance.
21:35All of a sudden, they're going to give you, you know what I'm calling, talking about.
21:39Yeah, he is.
21:40He's got the ref right there.
21:41He's got the ball.
21:42The ball's in.
21:43The ball's in.
21:44The ball's in.
21:45I mean, come on.
21:46Rick, Rick, you have it right to be mad.
21:47Terrible.
21:48That's right.
21:49Tell him.
21:50Terrible.
21:51I mean, but you were down.
21:52It would have been about four, but you had a fighter's chance.
21:53Yep.
21:54141 to 135.
21:55How about that?
21:56So they win this one by six, won their opener by one.
21:59In Oklahoma City's championship year, they won 68 games in the regular season.
22:06The average margin in those wins was 17.
22:09They win by six and they win by one and they are the first team to go 2-0.
22:14I tell you what, man, they are the prohibitive favorite.
22:18They're going to be tough to beat.
22:19They're not even healthy right now.
22:21Hey, let's hear from Katie George with us.
22:23Prohibitive.
22:24Okay.
22:25Okay.
22:26Spell it.
22:27That's not the one.
22:28Shay, is this going to become a thing?
22:30You guys going to double overtime over and over again?
22:33If it ends and wins, we'll take it.
22:36That's what I would say.
22:37But shout out to the guys tonight, man.
22:38I got cold in the fourth.
22:40Just a couple free throws, a couple easy ones.
22:42AJ, Wiggs, Chet, Hart, Lou, with his defensive pressure carried the load.
22:48And I was able to deliver when it was time.
22:50But shout out to the guys tonight.
22:51They fought hard.
22:52We got a W.
22:53Speaking of delivering when it's time, you had a career high, 55 points.
22:56Where do you go mentally late in games to be so clutch?
22:59I just don't get discouraged by whatever's going on in the game.
23:02Trust my work and try to get to things that I'm comfortable getting to.
23:05And that's two games in a row.
23:07I got enough done to get a W.
23:09One overtime game all of last season for OKC.
23:13Their first two games go to double overtime.
23:15Shay goes for 90 points in the first two games of the season.
23:21And he has 90 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists.
23:24Nobody's done that.
23:27And if you're a fan in Atlanta and you're going to go to the game Saturday night,
23:31prepare to stay late.
23:32OKC coming to town to take on the Hawks.
23:34There was no way Chuck signed up to work OT games all season.
23:37Hey, Jasmine.
23:39You're right.
23:40You're right, Jasmine.
23:41That's OK.
23:42I'm loving working for the worldwide leader.
23:44Yeah.
23:45Man, you can't answer a better doublehead than we've got tonight.
23:47Only two games on the slate.
23:49Both were beautiful.
23:50Hey, good job, buddy.
23:52Hey, we got more coming up.
23:54Stick around here.
23:55For Inside, presented by American Express.
23:57Well, prohibitive.
23:59Back here on Inside the NBA, presented by American Express.
24:02This was last night when Chuckster, not knowing his own strength,
24:07broke his glasses in half and then fixed them the old traditional way,
24:11of course.
24:12Come on, man.
24:13And that caught on, because look what was going on around Studio J today.
24:17Everywhere you looked.
24:18This looks like that old.
24:20Everybody.
24:21See, look at that Steve Martin movie.
24:24The Jerk.
24:25The Jerk.
24:26He created those.
24:27The AC Mafia.
24:28The AC Mafia.
24:29The AC Mafia got that?
24:30Oh, man.
24:31The AC Mafia.
24:32Yeah.
24:33Very nice.
24:34I got new glasses tonight, brother.
24:36A lot of people have asked, hey, why don't you have another vehicle for Shaq?
24:40Besides Shaq and the Fool, which he has.
24:43So, this is a look at dunks, which is something you like to say, watch your head.
24:49Say it correctly, Ernie.
24:50Say it with your chest.
24:52Watch your head.
24:53No, a little more.
24:54Watch your head.
24:56Watch your head.
24:57I'm kidding.
24:58I know.
24:59That's right.
25:00Watch your head.
25:01Watch your head.
25:02Watch your head, Ernie.
25:04I'm watching everything.
25:06I got to see where this is going.
25:11Myles Turner drives baseline and- Watch your head.
25:14Keyshawn George.
25:15There you go, Ernie.
25:16Say it again, Ernie.
25:17Watch your head.
25:18Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
25:19Oh, that is a watch your head.
25:21Show it one more time.
25:23Yeah.
25:24Number two.
25:25Watch your head.
25:26Wallace cuts down the lane and dunks on Isaiah Stewart.
25:28Must be the shoes.
25:29Man.
25:30Must be them Reeboks.
25:31Watch your head.
25:32Watch your head.
25:33Uh-oh.
25:34Grimby.
25:35Watch your head.
25:36You saw that one.
25:37Baseline, but went behind the under the rim.
25:38Say it again, Ernie.
25:39Watch your head.
25:40In fact, everybody in the studio say, one, two, three.
25:42Watch your head.
25:43Watch your head.
25:45I like it.
25:46I like it.
25:47I like it.
25:48I like it.
25:49The studio, I like the whole studio saying it.
25:52Is this the year that we are going to pull the champagne for Chuck for who he plays for?
25:58Come on.
25:59Two or three correct answers.
26:00You can do it.
26:01I got you.
26:02I got you.
26:03We'll see.
26:04You know when I did that, right?
26:05Remember?
26:06That was when you won your first inning.
26:07Yeah.
26:08You had never had a champagne bath, brother.
26:10Hey.
26:11Watch your head.
26:12What are you doing?
26:13Uh-oh.
26:14Uh-oh.
26:15Watch your head.
26:16Hey.
26:17Watch your shorts.
26:18Watch your shorts.
26:19You wear short shorts.
26:21All right.
26:23Uh, you've been waiting for it, and it's happening moments from now here on Inside.
26:29Let's go, baby.
26:30Come on, Chuck.
26:38Nothing like platinum.
26:41It's time for EJ's Meno Scandal of Nights.
26:46Presented by no one.
26:48Unsullied by sponsorship since...
26:521989.
26:53Come on, huh?
26:54Thank you very much, Dr. O'Neal.
26:56Now, look.
26:57I could write a lengthy, meandering intro to this segment, but why?
27:03Give me that mic!
27:05Time for Who He Play For!
27:09Hey!
27:10Hey!
27:11Ho!
27:12Hey!
27:13I think this game is unfair to me.
27:14Why?
27:15Because I just started watching NBA last night.
27:18You just started being in your whole life?
27:20No, no.
27:21I don't watch no preseason games.
27:22You have to watch a preseason game.
27:23You follow...
27:24Look at a few rosters or something.
27:25It's your job.
27:26Look at some...
27:27Look at some teams and see...
27:28That's okay.
27:29I'm...
27:30I'm confident...
27:31I'm confident in my ability.
27:32All right.
27:33So, again, if you have not watched Who He Play For!
27:35Everybody has.
27:36Anyway, five players.
27:38It's up to Chuck to figure out where they're playing this year.
27:41It's pretty simple.
27:42All right?
27:43One.
27:44Three.
27:45You're gonna need a three?
27:46Yep.
27:47That would be...
27:48That would be a...
27:49You know, you can't even say his name.
27:50Jock Landale.
27:51Portland Trail Blazers.
27:52Oh, close.
27:53Memphis Grizzlies.
27:54Zero.
27:55Oh, for one.
27:56You were right out of the gate, like you knew that one.
27:59Okay.
28:00All right.
28:01How about Amir Coffee?
28:02Oh, that's easy.
28:03That's easy.
28:04New Jersey Nets.
28:05Oh, they're...
28:06Close.
28:07New Jersey Nets don't even exist anymore.
28:08The Brooklyn Nets.
28:09Dingus?
28:10All right.
28:11Zero.
28:12All right.
28:13How about this one?
28:14Bones Highland.
28:15Oh, that's easy.
28:1676ers.
28:17The Lakers.
28:19Minnesota Timberwolves.
28:21Who play the Lakers next week on ESPN?
28:24Timberwolves.
28:25Yeah, I know you were on the right wavelength.
28:27You're about to get what you like to hear?
28:29Drew Eubanks.
28:30Who he play for?
28:31Oh, that's easy.
28:32Memphis Grizzlies.
28:33Sacramento.
28:34That's where Jock Landale plays, though.
28:36He plays for Sacramento.
28:38And here's your last one.
28:39This is who he play for, Hall of Famer.
28:42Garrett Temple.
28:4339 years old.
28:4516th season.
28:46Wait.
28:47He's been with 12 teams.
28:48Garrett Temple's still in the NBA?
28:49Yes.
28:50He is.
28:51Who's he with?
28:52Rockets.
28:53Rockets.
28:54Not the Rockets.
28:55The Spurs.
28:56No, he's still with Toronto.
28:59That's not even in his country.
29:01For three years now.
29:02That's not even in his country.
29:03It is in the league, however.
29:05And you said United States teams.
29:07No, I don't.
29:08United States teams.
29:10What do you think?
29:11Team Mexico?
29:12And 0 for 5.
29:13What are you talking about?
29:15Donut.
29:16United States teams.
29:17NBA teams.
29:18Not young, man.
29:19This is.
29:20Man.
29:21That ain't even fair.
29:22He's not even playing in this country.
29:23That's unfair, Ernie.
29:24See, you're going to have these people.
29:26You know what's going to happen?
29:27You're going to have these people at ESPN thinking we dumb.
29:29You've missed Garrett Temple every year.
29:31What'd you say?
29:32You've got people thinking we dumb now.
29:34Three straight seasons in Toronto for Garrett Temple.
29:37And you missed him every time.
29:38You know what, Ron?
29:39Were we dumb?
29:40What's that?
29:41He dumb.
29:42He dumb.
29:43That's a wrap for Inside the NBA.
29:46It's presented by American Express.
29:48Man, I was 0 for 5.
29:50For Charles and Kenny and for Shaq.
29:53Ernie Johnson bidding you a good night from Atlanta.
29:56And you know what's next here on ESPN?
29:59SportsCenter.
30:00SportsCenter.
30:01SportsCenter.
30:02Da-da-da.
30:03Da-da-da.
30:04He didn't even know that answer.
30:09Hello, Ashley.
