It's back. After being vandalized, toppled, and removed during Black Lives Matter protests in June 2020,
00:06
the statue of Confederate General Albert Pike has been reinstalled in Washington, D.C.'s Judiciary Square.
00:13
Now it's protected by a fence.
00:17
Pike not only fought to separate the Union, but also tried to stop blacks from gaining the right to vote.
00:23
The statue makes no mention of that.
00:25
The decision for the National Park Service to reinstall the statue was made to align with an executive order from President Trump.
00:31
D.C.'s non-voting congresswoman called it morally objectionable and an affront to the black and brown residents of D.C.
