00:05inspirational initiative Bloodtober, a united campaign encouraging blood
00:09donation across our city. Seven of Maitland's leading sporting clubs, the
00:13Maitland Blacks, the Maitland Magpies, the Maitland Mustangs, the Maitland Pickers,
00:16Maitland Rams, Maitland Redbacks and Maitland Saints, have all come together
00:21with a shared goal to boost blood donations throughout October and raise
00:26awareness of the critical need for regular donors. Inspired by the Maitland
00:30Pickers' support of young Cash Knight, who's bravely battling leukemia, this
00:35grassroots movement has grown into a powerful community-wide effort. Hundreds
00:40of players, families and supporters have already rolled up their sleeves, proving
00:44that sport is more than competition, it is a force for good. This is more than a
00:48one-off campaign Mr Speaker, it's the beginning of an ongoing partnership
00:52between the clubs. I encourage all that can, book a time, donate at the
00:56Maitland Lifeblood Centre because together we can save lives.
