00:00I want to talk about your book, She's a Host. I'm obsessed. I was going through a bunch of the
00:04recipes. They're so fun. They're so interesting. I know you've been so busy with filming a reality
00:09show. Now you're a mom of four. You have businesses. What made you decide to write a
00:14cookbook now? Honestly, someone came to me with the idea and I thought it would be such a great,
00:21like such a pleasure to share how I host so casually, but also in an elevated way and just
00:25tips and tricks. And also these recipes are so near and dear to my heart and I just wanted to
00:30share them, honestly. The heart of this cookbook, what I really noticed, the theme is family. You
00:35know, we see a lot of recipes that have been passed down to you. You talk about having breakfast with
00:39your dad, your kids, or even in some of the pictures, which I thought was so cute. My aunt,
00:43my mom. Yes, everyone. What does it mean for you to be able to pass these traditions onto the world?
00:49It means a lot, especially with my dad's passing. I mean, we just had people over all the time. Like
00:55people used to joke that our door was just a revolving door and it was just always open on
00:59Shabbat. And we love community. I think especially after COVID, people realize how important community
01:04is and togetherness. And the best way to share time together is over a meal. So it was really
01:11important for me to share. And I think it's, and it's something important that everybody should focus
01:16on and just bringing people together. And it's really not that challenging. It seems like it's so
01:21overwhelming to host, but there are really easy ways to do it and make it still really beautiful
01:25while not stressing out too much. And that kind of leads us into these make it happen sections.
01:30Yes. I think they're so fun. You give more tips on how to enhance different kinds of gatherings,
01:35make them more fun, kind of take the stress off. Right. How did you come up with that idea?
01:40Because I know that it's hard. Like I have a lot of friends that are like, how do you do this all
01:43the time? Like, is it this challenging? How do you think of the meals? Like, you know,
01:46I also have sample menus and all of, you know, in the book. And so I just wanted to make it easy
01:51for people. Honestly, I just wanted to give them direct instruction on to how to do a great, you
01:57know, host a great brunch, host a great dinner, host a great casual weeknight, things like that.
02:02You're having a dinner party. Which three Bravo Leberties are you inviting?
02:05Okay. Let's do Lisa from Miami because she's really fun. And Lisa Barlow because I love her.
02:13And Foes. Oh, that's fun. Those three ladies.
02:17Chifting gears a little bit. So you were introduced into the Bravo universe with the Rony reboot a couple
02:23years ago now, which I feel like it's gone so fast already. It has. You know, it's been sort of in
02:28limbo for some time. We haven't really gotten too many official updates yet. I know there are a lot of
02:33fans who love it. They love everything. There are also a lot that are critical of the new, you know,
02:39the idea of replacing. Do you think people have been too hard on you guys as a cast in general?
02:45Yeah, I do. I was just talking about this before. I think that it takes a little while
02:49for a show to gel, you know? So yes. And the comparisons are very challenging.
02:55Yeah.
02:55Because we're not the same.
02:56There are a lot of theories online that Bravo is going to move forward with some kind of mix of OGs
03:01and newbies. What would you think about something like that? And do you think that there's anyone from
03:07the original cast that could seamlessly fit in with you guys? Honestly, I trust Bravo to make
03:12the right decision. I really, like, I'm not a casting expert. I don't know, but I trust them.
03:17Yeah. And I know we've gotten a couple of people who have already said that they're not coming back,
03:21Brynn being one of them. Have you spoken to her at all since last season ended? Do you think she
03:26made the right decision to not return? I spoke to her a little bit in the beginning, and I do think
03:33she made the right decision. But Rebecca also said that she's not going to be coming back. How are
03:37you guys? Are you guys friends again? We're fine. I'll call her. I got to call her. I'll call her.
03:42I love her. I do love her. I will give her a call.
03:45Well, you've done two seasons of reality TV at this point, hopefully three to come.
03:49Are there any misconceptions about filming a reality show that you can clear up or you think
03:55people should know?
03:56Yeah. People think, I think a lot of times, that things are produced or that we're trying. It's just
04:01not like that. Like, you just really live your authentic life and you kind of forget that you're
04:08on a show, to be quite honest, which is a little scary. It's actually like the weird part of it all,
04:14but that's the truth. It's not, it's really not produced at all.
04:18We were just talking about this before. You just had your fourth baby, which I think is amazing.
04:22And your good friend, Lindsay Hubbard, also just had a baby. You guys are close friends. What's it like
04:27being able to go through this experience again with her by your side this time?
04:30So much fun. Honestly, so much fun. I really loved, um, like our time. So my older kids went
04:37to camp the summer sleep away. So it was just like me, her and our babies the summer when she
04:41would come out east. So that was really fun. And it's, it's cute. It's, it's interesting going
04:46through it with somebody else who's on reality TV.
04:49Right. It's a different experience. Yeah. And I know, I mean, there've been all these rumors
04:53that she's going to be on in the city that summer house spinoff. Any chance we'll see you on there
04:58too? Maybe some play dates, baby play dates. Now, well, people wanted her to come on Roni.
05:05I wanted her to come on Roni. Um, you've done reality TV, real estate, your own Miss Cal,
05:10a cookbook. What's the next thing you want to cross off your bucket list?
05:13Oh, dancing with the stars. Can we just talk about Whitney's that shake your ass and watch
05:19yourself dance? Oh my gosh. I saw that on like on my phone. That was, she's amazing.
05:24She's so good. I'm like very, I'm very impressed with her.
05:26She's so good. Have you seen any other clips? Is there anyone else that's kind of,
05:29I think Alex Earl's doing a good job. I think she's crushing.
05:32She is. And like, she seems more of like a stiff person. So for her to be able to move,
05:36not like her personality, but like she's like very narrow and tiny and like, she's like moving.
05:40She's doing it. I like it.
