00:00Kristen Bell says Dax Shepard has commitment to growth after Anniversary Post Backlash.
00:06Kristen Bell loves her husband.
00:08Ahead of the premiere of Nobody Wants This Season 2 on Netflix, and after sharing a post
00:13celebrating her 12th wedding anniversary to Dax Shepard, the actress got honest about
00:18their relationship.
00:20And about why she's glad her husband is in the same industry.
00:23I am glad I chose my husband because he has a commitment to growth at all times, the actress
00:28said on Andy Cohen Live.
00:30I don't like the idea that you're like looking for your perfect puzzle piece, because
00:35you also have to become a puzzle piece that fits with someone else.
00:39Yes, Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell are still together, and they just shared their 12th wedding
00:44anniversary.
00:46Kristen posted about the milestone on Instagram saying, Happy 12th wedding anniversary to the
00:51man who once said to me, I would never kill you.
00:55A lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point.
00:58Even though I'm heavily incentivized to kill you, I never would.
01:03The comments were flooded with people laughing at the joke, including the official Dateline
01:08account, which commented screen-shotted.
01:11But other Instagram users weren't amused.
01:12Is this supposed to be funny?
01:16A second comment reads, while another says, domestic violence isn't a joke.
01:22While comedy is a part of both Kristen's on-screen and IRL romances, she revealed in the Andy Cohen
01:27interview just how much work goes into maintaining a relationship.
01:32If you find two people that are like, yeah, we're going to make this work.
01:36And that means we're going to compromise constantly.
01:38And those compromises should work well for both of us.
01:41She continues, and sometimes it's going to ebb and sometimes it's going to flow, but we're
01:47not going to have checks and balances because we're going to realize it's not me against
01:52you.
01:53I feel like my real-life husband and I are opposites attract, she adds in an interview
02:00with people, but that doesn't mean we couldn't make it work or didn't want to make it work.
02:07It just meant we did have to have a lot of patience for each other to figure out what
02:10the compromises would be and a general understanding that we're probably going to have different
02:15viewpoints on almost everything and figure out a respectful way to have those discussions.
