00:05We're talking about Noida International Airport, just an hour from the capital.
00:09Once it opens, Uttar Pradesh will have five international airports.
00:13Lucknow, Baranasi, Kushinagar, Ayotya and now Jewar.
00:16Spread across 6,700 acres, this airport is massive.
00:20The first phase alone will handle 12 million passengers a year, with one runway for now.
00:25A second one kicks in once traffic hits 10 million.
00:27Eventually, Jewar could have up to five runways over 11,750 acres,
00:32making it one of the biggest airports in the world.

00:36It will be the first airline to take off from Jewar.
00:39Akasa Air plans to run both domestic and international flights too.
00:43And it's not just for passengers.
00:45Jewar will double up as a cargo hub and maintenance repair and overhaul centre.

00:50It's right off the Yamuna Expressway, India's sixth longest.
00:53Plus, by 2031, Metro Extensions and the Gaziabad Jewar Rapid Rail will connect directly here.
00:59Nearly 9,000 workers are on site right now.
01:02Once it's operational, it's expected to create around 1 lakh direct and indirect jobs.
01:07Jewar Airport is set to open this November.
