00:05Fasten your seatbelts, 15th June 2026, you heard it first on India Today Television.
00:12Noida International Airport is set to welcome passengers.
00:15So it's finally official, 15th June 2026, Noida International Airport has announced
00:20that commercial flight operations are ready.
00:23They'll be beginning, commencing from 15th June, opening a new gateway for the passengers.
00:27So airlines, cargo operators, all of them will be functioning.
00:32So remember after the Delhi International Airport, the Indira Gandhi International Airport,
00:35many living on the other side, Noida for example, Delhi NCR region,
00:39we're clearly hopeful that that could be the new initiative that when it begins,
00:44not only will help the commuters, the passengers, the airlines, but the area around us much.
00:51The real estate prices likely are going up as well.
00:53For now, I can tell you that the latest information is Indigo will operate the first flight from the airport.
01:00I want to immediately bring in Amit Bhardwaj, closely tracks the civil aviation.
01:04Amit, I know that people residing in Noida were waiting for this moment for the longest time.
01:09So which are the initial flights, how will they begin, what is going to be the process like?
01:16And do you think this could be a big boost as much to the airport, to the area,
01:20but to Uttar Pradesh tourism as much?
01:25Absolutely, right.
01:27Pooja, first things first, the 15th of June will be the date when the Noida International Airport
01:33will see the first flight flying out of the NIA airport, the Noida airport,
01:38and it's going to be an Indigo flight.
01:41So why Indigo?
01:42It is important.
01:43There are three operators who will be operating from the first phase of Noida International Airport,
01:48but Indigo, Kasa Air, and Air India Express, and as expected, Indigo will be the first to begin the operations,
01:57followed by Kasa, and then Air India Express.
02:00So the schedule is to come, which all destinations they are going to cover,
02:04that will be notified as well, but at this point in time,
02:07we can certainly confirm to our viewers that Noida International Airport will be operational from June 15th.
02:13Now, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Civil Aviation Minister Ramohan Naidu,
02:16and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yugya Adetanath, had inaugurated the Noida International Airport,
02:21and it was only last week when the ASP for Noida International Airport was also cleared.
02:28ASP is Aerodrome Security Program, security, you know, certification,
02:33very crucial security certification, which is given by the DCACH,
02:37which is responsible for the aviation security.
02:39So soon after that, ASP certification was handed over to the Noida International Airport.
02:44But the last formality left in making that airport operational was also covered.
02:51So that was also checked on the bucket list, and that is why.
02:54Now we have a clear picture of operations to begin between June.
02:58Indigo flight will be the first to fly from Noida International Airport.
03:03Now, coming to the point, how is it going to benefit Noida?
03:06Noida. So, Pooja, you know, we actually need to look at the purpose of Noida International Airport
03:11in a much bigger perspective.
03:13It's going to actually declock Delhi's IGI Airport.
03:18It is going to be the go-to destination, or rather, airport for people who are living in Western Uttar
03:24Pradesh.
03:25So just imagine now, if you live in areas such as Muzaffar Dengar, or for that matter, Meirat,
03:31and you have to travel all the way to Delhi's IGI Airport just to fly by air,
03:36or maybe to go to Ghaziabad, it works really bit atrocious for them.
03:41So it's going to create a very streamlined and accessible airport system for people living in Western Uttar Pradesh.
03:48Welcome start for so many people, especially towards the other side of Delhi and NCR.
03:52And the first passengers, of course, will be the enthusiastic, excited ones.
03:57So as Amit is telling us, Indigo will operate the first flight.
04:00It will be followed shortly by the ACASA Air and Air India Express, and soon there further around.
04:05So it's going to be very interesting.
04:07Don't have to travel all the way through the national capital to catch your flight from 15 June.
