00:00Did you grow up watching The Old Reading Rainbow? And what did the show mean to you?

00:08I love The Old Reading Rainbow so much. It is THE Reading Rainbow to me. I love LeVar Burton. He's

00:14such a such a legend of literacy is what I call him. Being the new host of Reading Rainbow it's a

00:19lot. It seems like it's a lot of pressure but really it's not because I don't feel pressure.

00:24I honestly just feel so happy to be in this position to be able to amplify libraries and

00:29library workers even more and also to show kids just like yourself that you're capable of anything.

00:35I never thought that I would be the host of Reading Rainbow but the whole goal of Reading Rainbow,

00:39the main focus of it is to show us that nothing is impossible. We can all chase the other side of

00:44the rainbow and we can seize every opportunity and I hope that's what kids like yourself are doing

00:49right now. I think this is the coolest part of being the host of Reading Rainbow is talking to a kid like

00:52yourself. You're definitely great. I'm going to definitely watch some episodes.
