00:00This event is being organized by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association and today can anyone
00:07guess how many charities are supporting on this regional event of theirs? Any numbers? 10? Much
00:14higher. It's the highest it's ever been. I'll give you a clue. 92? Not that many. Not yet. 38.
00:23Last year I think they supported 22 charities but this year they're supporting 38 charities.
00:30Charities who we've got here today including the Alton, give us a little shout if your name is mentioned,
00:35the Alton Community Association, the Bird World Conservation Fund, Canine Concern, Chernobyl Children's
00:41Lifeline, Dementia Friendly Hampshire, Disability Challenges, Dogs for Autism, Pearson Wolf.
00:47It's good to see so many familiar faces and equally wonderful to welcome many new joiners. So the
00:54Beacon of Peace Charity Walk has been, I think like we've discussed, it's flourished over the years
00:58for in last eight years starting from four charities to 38 and I may have counted a couple of them more.
01:05St Matthew's School PTFA, the Strood Evening WI, the Pink Place and the Rosemary Foundation.
01:13So again more shoutouts for, first of all the Borden Bells WI, Citizens Advice East Hampshire,
01:19the Deadwater Valley Trust, the Walnut Forest Time Bank, and last but not least, the White Hill and Borden Living Streets Group and Y Plus Youth Services CIC.
