00:00Keith, what do we know so far about this indictment?
00:04Well, what happened earlier today was New York Attorney General, as you say, Letitia James,
00:08was charged here in Virginia of committing mortgage fraud when she purchased the property
00:14right here in Virginia in 2023. Now, what's interesting is that this is now the second
00:20of President Trump's political foes to be charged here in Virginia with his indictment. As you all
00:25know, a couple of weeks ago, former FBI Director James Comey was also charged here in Virginia.
00:31Right. Well, to that point, Keith, you line up those two indictments. And what sense do we have
00:36of the broader motivation here and whether or not this is politically motivated?
00:41That's a great question. What jumps out that the reporters have been covering this
00:46is that the new Virginia Attorney General who was appointed just recently by Trump,
00:52she was the one who presented the case to a grand jury. That tells people that maybe the prosecutors
00:59in this office may not have been comfortable with the evidence. So they had to put her in charge
01:05of presenting the evidence to a grand jury to try to secure a charge.
