00:05approve any new wind or solar power projects. He blames them for driving up energy costs.

00:13In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote,

00:16any state that has built and relied on windmills and solar are seeing record-breaking increases

00:20in electricity and energy costs. We will not approve wind or farmer destroying solar.

00:25Just last month, Trump put Interior Secretary Doug Burgum in charge of final reviews for leases

00:31and construction plans. And the big, beautiful bill ends tax credits for wind and solar power by

00:382027, credits that have helped fuel renewable energy growth in recent years. Energy companies now worry

00:45many projects won't get the permits needed to move forward. CNBC reports energy prices have risen

00:51more than 20 percent over the past year for customers in 13 states served by the nation's

00:56largest power grid, PJM Interconnection. Earlier this week, Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins

01:03announced the USDA will stop funding wind and solar projects on farmland, calling them

01:09massive taxpayer handouts that have rendered millions of acres of prime farmland unusable.
