00:00Protesters face off against federal agents on the southwest side of Chicago after a border
00:10patrol agent shot a woman. The Department of Homeland Security says the woman was armed.

00:29violence in the city. This is not making anyone safer. These raids, when you saw the raids that
00:35just did a few days ago, they were innocent people. They have not shown the need to go
00:40and terrorize families in the middle of the night, see blocking kids, getting people naked in the
00:45middle of the street. Is that public safety? Is this public safety ended up with a shooting,
00:49some being chased and now wrecked and a few blocks away from here? This is not keeping
00:55nobody safe, and they know that. The Department of Homeland Security says the woman drove herself
01:00to the hospital. However, the Chicago Sun-Times reports Chicago Fire authorities say the woman
01:05was transported, enlisted in fair condition. No law enforcement officers were seriously injured.
01:10U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem posted on social media she was sending additional special
01:16operations to control the scene. Earlier in the day, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker said he was
01:20given an ultimatum by President Donald Trump to deploy Illinois' National Guard.
