00:00President Trump heads to Walter Reed this morning, his second trip this year for what
00:07the White House now calls a semi-annual checkup. It comes as he also plans to visit troops on site
00:12and prepares for a possible Mideast trip this weekend. On Thursday, reporters asked him about
00:18the visit. No, I have no difficulty thus far. Is there wood around here? No difficulty. Physically,
00:26I feel very good. Mentally, I feel very good. You know, I did about six, seven months ago. I do
00:31physicals. I like to, when I'm around, I like to check. Always early, always be early. It's a
00:37lesson for a lot of people. Back in April, Trump's doctor said he was, quote,
00:41fully fit. Then in July, disclosed a common manageable vein condition in his legs called
00:47chronic venous insufficiency, which causes swelling in the ankles. Today's visit breaks with the usual
00:53once a year presidential physical, but the White House frames it as routine, keeping tabs, not
00:59treating a crisis. Trump, now 79, has long touted his exams as proof of vigor, and he's likely to share
01:07results when they're in.
