00:00:00So you want a ride home?
00:00:30I thought that was a given.
00:00:34So I'm thinking about calling a tumbling practice tomorrow?
00:00:38One day off?
00:00:40I just want to be ready.
00:00:42Cheer camp is coming up, and that's a whole other world.
00:00:45You do realize you have nothing to worry about, right?
00:00:48You're a shoe-in for camp champion.
00:00:50You're sweet, and I love you,
00:00:52but there are other cheerleaders from other squads who are just as good.
00:00:55Maybe, but you're the best.
00:00:58Oh, shoot.
00:01:00I think I left my water bottle on the field.
00:01:02Are you sure?
00:01:04It's not in here.
00:01:06Is that it?
00:01:08I could have swore I had it on the field.
00:01:14So I heard that Andrew from Roosevelt is going to be at cheer camp this year.
00:01:30Dids!
00:01:32What?
00:01:33Oh, my God.
00:01:35Okay.
00:01:36I'll let you have him if you can throw a full-back handspring.
00:01:40What?
00:01:41That's not fair.
00:01:42If I could, I would.
00:01:43I have faith in you.
00:01:45You just need more...
00:01:50What?
00:01:51I felt weird there for a second.
00:01:54See?
00:01:55This is why people need days off.
00:01:57You're all cheered out.
00:02:00Yeah, maybe.
00:02:04Are you okay?
00:02:05Yeah, I think I'm just dehydrated.
00:02:07Well, don't leave your water in the car next time.
00:02:10So, the way that I see it, Andrew's going to be one of the few straight guys there.
00:02:28So, he's going to have his pick.
00:02:30But...
00:02:31Whoa!
00:02:32What the hell?
00:02:33I don't feel so good.
00:02:35Just stop the car.

00:04:58Sorry. I'm just feeling out of it.
00:05:00I still can't believe I'm here.
00:05:02First cheer camp ever, and on top of that, chance of a scholarship?
00:05:07You're hoping to be considered?
00:05:09Oh, yeah. I figured instead of going to someone like you,
00:05:11who has cheered her whole life and won competitions,
00:05:13it could go to me, someone who joined the spore six months ago.
00:05:17Well, Jack, once you realize how brutal these camps can be,
00:05:21you might feel differently.
00:05:23I say, bring it on.
00:05:27Come on.
00:05:36We're not late, are we?
00:05:37I don't think so. The email's at 10 a.m.
00:05:39You're not late.
00:05:40They just all want to make a good impression for when the coaches walk in.
00:05:45I'm Sophia. Charlotte.
00:05:47Jack.
00:05:48What school are you guys from?
00:05:49We both go to Kennedy.
00:05:51You?
00:05:52Franklin.
00:05:53Anybody else from your school here?
00:05:55Uh, we were supposed to have...
00:05:57Victoria Richards, captain of Roosevelt High's award-winning cheer squad.
00:06:23How do you guys both know all that?
00:06:30How do you not?
00:06:31She has like 500,000 followers.
00:06:33Okay, I get it. She's a big deal.
00:06:35She was once featured in Teen Vogue.
00:06:37Oh, my God. That's amazing.
00:06:39Welcome to Pacific U cheer camp.
00:06:46Now, for those of you who don't know, I'm Coach Cooper,
00:06:50and I started this camp as a place for high school cheerleaders
00:06:53to develop the skills to make themselves stand out.
00:06:56Each year, we admit a small, exclusive group of cheerleaders
00:06:59who have shown potential.
00:07:00Now, as most of you know, at the end of camp,
00:07:03we will have a showcase for esteemed judges
00:07:05from cheer programs from all over the country,
00:07:08and the athlete-deemed camp champion
00:07:11will be awarded a full-ride college scholarship.
00:07:15Yes!
00:07:16Yes!
00:07:16Woo!
00:07:17Woo!
00:07:17Now, I'd like to introduce you to our two team coaches,
00:07:22Mary Parker and Beth Richards.
00:07:24Hey, y'all.
00:07:26Just call me Coach Mary. Welcome.
00:07:29So, I've coached a few squads over the years,
00:07:32but mostly, I love working with young athletes
00:07:34and sharing my passion for this wonderful sport.
00:07:38That's so sweet.
00:07:40I'm here because I know cheerleading inside and out.
00:07:44I've been cheering since I was 14,
00:07:46and I am proud to be the commissioner
00:07:48of the National Cheer Group.
00:07:50There's only one place to be, and that's on top.
00:07:53Not just of the pyramid, but in life.
00:07:56Looking forward to showing you
00:07:57what it means to be the best.
00:08:00And this is Greg.
00:08:01He's a medical student here
00:08:03at Pacific University of Southern California
00:08:05with an undergraduate degree in kinesiology.
00:08:07He'll be our camp trainer.
00:08:09Hi!
00:08:09Really excited to be here this year,
00:08:11and even more excited to make sure
00:08:13you all have a safe, fun camp experience.
00:08:16Please don't hesitate to come to me
00:08:17with any injuries or questions.
00:08:19I'm here for all of you.
00:08:22Also, please remember to stretch.
00:08:24Now, before we give out the dorm assignments,
00:08:26I do have some sad news I want to share with you all.
00:08:29One of our fellow campers, Lily Walker,
00:08:31has been disqualified from participating in camp this year.
00:08:35The police found her passed out in her car
00:08:37after an erratic driving incident.
00:08:39When they ran a blood test,
00:08:40they found illegal performance enhancement drugs
00:08:43in her system.
00:08:44Now, I tell you all this as a warning.
00:08:46We have a zero tolerance policy
00:08:48for drugs and alcohol here at camp.
00:08:51You're here to perfect your craft and work hard,
00:08:55not to party and cheat.
00:08:58Is that understood?
00:09:00Yeah.
00:09:01Doping for cheer?
00:09:02That's a bit much.
00:09:03It's not what happened.
00:09:06Great!
00:09:07Once you get all settled in at your dorms,
00:09:10we're going to meet over at the practice gym
00:09:11for athlete assessments,
00:09:13and we're going to determine which team
00:09:15and which coach you'll be working with
00:09:17for the remainder of camp.
00:09:19All right!
00:09:32What?
00:09:33You were talking why Coach Cooper was talking.
00:09:36Relax, Mom.
00:09:37Don't speak to me like that.
00:09:39Here, I am your coach.
00:09:41You need to stay focused
00:09:43and take every second of this camp seriously.
00:09:46I can see the vein in your neck.
00:09:49Do you care about your future?
00:09:51Or is this just a joke to you?
00:09:53I care.
00:09:54I care more than you know,
00:09:55and I don't need you or anyone
00:09:57to remind me what's at stake here.
00:09:58Then show me you can win.
00:10:02I will.
00:10:03Oh, hey.
00:10:19Looks like we're roomies.
00:10:21I was supposed to room with Lily,
00:10:22so I was worried that they would stick me
00:10:24with one of those girls from the valley
00:10:25that uses way too much hairspray.
00:10:28Good to see a familiar face.
00:10:30Well, I'm not a big fan of hairspray.
00:10:34Did you get your cheer uniform?
00:10:37Just picked it up.
00:10:40So, you were friends with Lily, right?
00:10:44Yeah.
00:10:45Really sucks what happened to her.
00:10:48Yeah, for a lot of reasons.
00:10:50Mostly because I know that she wasn't on anything.
00:10:53It just wasn't her.
00:10:55She would never do anything
00:10:57to jeopardize her chair career.
00:10:59Well, didn't the police find it in her system?
00:11:01I don't know.
00:11:02I just know that she wouldn't do anything like that.
00:11:05Well, sometimes people act differently under pressure.
00:11:12Did you see Victoria's face
00:11:13when Coach Cooper was talking about Lily?
00:11:16She was all smiles.
00:11:17I think it's because she knew
00:11:19her only competition for camp champion was Lily.
00:11:22Wait, but camp hasn't even started yet.
00:11:25It's still anyone's prize.
00:11:27Coach Richards is Victoria's mom.
00:11:30So, trust me, she's winning this.
00:11:34Lucky her.
00:11:37Ready to go be sorted?
00:11:39The assessment is just for them to divide us
00:11:42into the good team and the not-so-good team.
00:11:45They call them the red and blue team
00:11:47to be more diplomatic.
00:11:49Okay, how do you know all that?
00:11:50My sister attended the camp a few years ago.
00:11:53They always choose the camp champion
00:11:54from the red team, so if we're not on that,
00:11:57there is little to no hope.
00:12:03We'll start with the dance portion
00:12:05of our assessment.
00:12:05Victoria Richards.
00:12:26Victoria Richards.
00:12:27Next up, Andrew Dillon.
00:12:57This is gonna be good.
00:12:58It's my roommate.
00:12:59Oh, lucky.
00:13:01Crush much?
00:13:03Yeah, he's the nicest guy ever. He's cool.
00:13:05It helps that he's also super hot.
00:13:11Well, have you guys ever?
00:13:13He barely even knows my name.
00:13:15Let's change that.
00:13:23Sophia Jacobs.
00:13:25Who's that?
00:13:32I think she goes to Kennedy.
00:13:34At least it's what her bag says.
00:13:36You're a regular Sherlock Holmes.
00:13:38Yeah.

00:21:09What did you just say I
00:21:12Am doing this for you, Victoria
00:21:15Your idiot of a father lost everything we had to that crook accountant
00:21:19We're broke
00:21:21Do you get that? Do you want to cheer in college even want to go to college?
00:21:26Do you actually want to make something of yourself?
00:21:29This is your only shot
00:21:32Understand
00:21:33Dad is not an idiot. Do not stand up for him. He doesn't give a crap about us. Why do you think he left?
00:21:43But I do I
00:21:47Love you Victoria. I know mom I
00:21:53Want this too
00:21:59Then prove it do it again
00:22:04What if someone sees?
00:22:06Then you're helping me stretch
00:22:08Then you're helping me stretch. I've been very tight lately. We're supposed to be out of practice. I
00:22:35Need you to do me a favor
00:22:38Another one yes, this one's no big deal
00:22:42It's that Sophia girl. No, I'm not doing that again. Lily could have died, but she didn't
00:22:49You said that was all you needed
00:22:51But I can't be wrong
00:22:54No, it's too risky
00:22:56But I love you
00:22:58What are you two?
00:23:00Then show me
00:23:02It's no big thing. I just need you to pick me up a few things
00:23:08What do you need?
00:23:10Competitive cheer is all about
00:23:13Well
00:23:15Competition
00:23:17And here at camp we'd like to encourage healthy
00:23:19Competition
00:23:20So today's mile will be a race between the blue and red teams
00:23:25Team with the fastest average time is the winner
00:23:29Ready?
00:23:30Got this
00:23:32Set
00:23:33Set
00:23:34All right, hustle! Let's go! Let's go!
00:23:35All right, all right! Let's go! You can do this!
00:23:36Victoria, do this! Let's go!
00:23:37Great job, Sophia!
00:23:38Oh!
00:23:39Good at cheer!
00:23:40You can do this!
00:23:41All right, all right! Let's go! You can do this!
00:23:44All right, all right! Let's go! You can do this!
00:23:45All right, all right, let's go! You can do this!
00:23:52Victoria, do this! Let's go!
00:23:56Great job, Sophia!
00:23:57Good at cheer.
00:24:09Fast at running.
00:24:10I like the total package.
00:24:12Far from it.
00:24:13I feel like...
00:24:14I feel like you should be on the red team.
00:24:17Well, that's nice of you to say.
00:24:20Well, the fact that they split us up is ridiculous anyway.
00:24:23Really?
00:24:24Yeah.
00:24:24I mean, the most important part about cheer isn't competition.
00:24:28It's unity.
00:24:30True.
00:24:31And in the name of unity, you should stop by dorm room 205 tonight.
00:24:35It's one of the empty ones.
00:24:36A couple of us are going to throw a mini rager.
00:24:39In a dorm room?
00:24:40Well, we have to make do with what we have.
00:24:43And besides, it's time to actually have fun at cheer camp.
00:24:47Okay, well, can I invite Jack and Charlotte?
00:24:50Of course.
00:24:51The more the merrier.
00:24:52Just don't tell the coaches.
00:24:55I will.
00:24:56See you tonight.
00:25:02New friend?
00:25:03Yeah, something like that.
00:25:05Is she coming to the party?
00:25:06Of course.
00:25:08Are you worried that she's your competition?
00:25:10She's like the only one as good as you.
00:25:11The only thing I'm worried about is how much fun we're going to have tonight.
00:25:15The average time for the blue team?
00:25:22Seven minutes and 14 seconds.
00:25:25Average time for the red team?
00:25:31Six minutes and 58 seconds.
00:25:34Just out of the blue, she invited us.
00:25:43Why is she being that nice?
00:25:45Because maybe she is nice.
00:25:48She seems like she actually wants to be friends.
00:25:51Doesn't it seem weird given the fact that you're her biggest competition?
00:25:55I'm really not.
00:25:56And she hasn't said or done anything that makes me think that.
00:26:01So she just wants to be friends?
00:26:03Why is that so hard to believe?
00:26:05Yeah, you're right.
00:26:08I don't know.
00:26:09I just get a weird feeling about her.
00:26:11But maybe I'll reevaluate.
00:26:14See?
00:26:15There you go.
00:26:17Keep an open mind.
00:26:19So.
00:26:21What do you say?
00:26:22Could be fun.
00:26:24I don't think we're supposed to have parties.
00:26:27I'm sure it's just an after hours hangout thing.
00:26:29Nothing bad.
00:26:30I'll go if Andrew will be there.
00:26:36I'll find out.
00:26:40Jack?
00:26:41You in?
00:26:47Yeah, fine.
00:26:50Good.
00:26:51I think this will be fun.
00:26:52You came.
00:27:01Yay!
00:27:02This is Jack and Charlotte.
00:27:03Oh, come in.
00:27:05Welcome, welcome.
00:27:10Andrew, have you met Charlotte?
00:27:12Seeing you around.
00:27:13Nice to meet you.
00:27:14Same.
00:27:15Your cartwheel was awesome.
00:27:19Does anybody want any vodka?
00:27:20We've got plenty.
00:27:21I'm not a big drinker.
00:27:24That's just to help relax.
00:27:26Camp can be so intense, you know.
00:27:30You couldn't have gotten better, Steph.
00:27:33I didn't see you bring anything.
00:27:36Well, um, maybe just a sip.
00:27:44Definitely not the best drink I've ever had.
00:27:47Sophie, are you sure?
00:27:49No, thanks.
00:27:50Oh, come on.
00:27:52We can play a drinking game.
00:27:55Red Team vs. Blue.
00:27:56Para.
00:27:57She said she didn't want to.
00:27:59Oh, just know.
00:28:00You're safe here.
00:28:01It's just us friends.
00:28:05You guys got any snacks, or is it just drinks?
00:28:09Chips are over here.
00:28:10I'll take some of those.
00:28:11Oh, I just remembered I left some amphetamines in my room.
00:28:14Trust me, Sophia.
00:28:15I bet that's more of your thing.
00:28:17I'll go get them.
00:28:23Time to party!
00:28:26Is she okay?
00:28:27Yeah, she'll be fine.
00:28:28She's been drinking for a while.
00:28:32Fun party.
00:28:33She just wants to make friends.
00:28:36I have to pee.
00:28:37Right here.
00:28:38I'm just letting you know where I'm going in case you want to join me.
00:28:41No, thanks.
00:28:47It's just an anonymous tip.
00:28:48It's probably not anything.
00:28:50I thought I heard music for a second floor.
00:28:52The coaches are coming.
00:29:01Oh, give me the cups.
00:29:02Give me that.
00:29:03Hey.
00:29:03Get him back here.
00:29:04I was drinking that.
00:29:06Come on.
00:29:10What's all this?
00:29:13A few of us couldn't sleep, so we came up here to chat.
00:29:16You're not supposed to be up here.
00:29:19Oh.
00:29:20Have you been drinking?
00:29:22Just soda.
00:29:26You should all go back to your rooms.
00:29:27There's a curfew for a reason.
00:29:35Kara.
00:29:36Stay.
00:29:44Save the day, Jack.
00:29:46Can't have that.
00:29:52Oh, my God.
00:29:52I heard what happened.
00:29:53Are you guys okay?
00:29:55Yeah.
00:29:55Luckily, Jack heard them coming and got rid of everything.
00:29:58Apparently, they smelled it on Kara's breath, but since they couldn't prove anything, she
00:30:02got away with a formal warning.
00:30:04It's terrible.
00:30:05She's fine.
00:30:06She's fine.
00:30:08The girl's a lightweight.
00:30:08I'm just super thankful that none of you guys got in trouble.
00:30:13It was all my fault, and I'll be way more careful next time.
00:30:18Maybe just no more parties?
00:30:20Good call.
00:30:21I'm just super thankful for Jack.
00:30:25Hey, guys.
00:30:26Don't worry, Greg.
00:30:27We're stretching.
00:30:29Wasn't that.
00:30:30All camp packages come to the trainer's office.
00:30:32This came for you, Sophia.
00:30:35Oh, secret admirer?
00:30:36It's from my dad.
00:30:38Oh.
00:30:41Red team, why aren't you running your laps?
00:30:43Let's go.
00:30:44Slave driver calls.
00:30:56What is it?
00:30:58It's my mom's necklace.
00:30:59It's my mom's necklace.
00:31:06I found this the other day.
00:31:10Your mom put your first-year picture in here.
00:31:13She'd be so proud of you.
00:31:16Love, Dad.
00:31:18That's sweet.
00:31:21Let's get to practice, shall we?
00:31:24Let's.
00:31:36Hey, everyone.
00:31:41So guess what Sophia did in class today?
00:31:42No, I'm going to tell them.
00:31:44Come on.
00:31:44I'm going to tell them.
00:31:45I'm going to tell you.
00:31:51Happy birthday to the most talented, kindest, sweetest human beings on this planet.
00:31:56I'm lucky to have you in my life, Sophia.
00:32:00Oh, this is good.
00:32:02Very impressive.
00:32:22Thanks.
00:32:26No, you're actually really good.
00:32:29I can tell you work out a lot.
00:32:32Oh.
00:32:35I played hockey up until last year.
00:32:38Oh.
00:32:39Yeah.
00:32:42I would have thought you were just a long-time cheerleader.
00:32:44Nope.
00:32:45New this year, that Sophia talked me to join in.
00:32:48I'm so glad she did.
00:32:52Let me know if you want to practice later.
00:32:56You good, right?
00:32:57Sure.
00:32:59You know, just you and me.
00:33:02I'd love to give you some tips.
00:33:03What?
00:33:07What are you doing?
00:33:24Someone could see.
00:33:26What was that?
00:33:28Relax.
00:33:29How can I relax when you're just all over that kid?
00:33:32This jealous look on you is not hot at all.
00:33:35Do you understand when I risk to be with you?
00:33:37Babe, trust that I know exactly what I'm doing.
00:33:40This is just my way to get him away from being Sophia's watchdog all the time.
00:33:45Got it?
00:33:45You know I only have eyes for you.
00:33:53Hey, Monique.
00:33:53Hey.
00:33:55What's up, girl?
00:33:56Oh, my God.
00:33:57So, obviously she's into you.
00:33:59Maybe.
00:34:02It just seems a little sudden.
00:34:05Like she didn't seem into me in the dorm room last night.
00:34:10Well, let's just say she is into you.
00:34:14Are you going to go for it?
00:34:15I think we're getting a little ahead of ourselves.
00:34:20I think you should.
00:34:23You do?
00:34:26Yeah.
00:34:26I mean, she's hot.
00:34:30She's talented.
00:34:32Popular.
00:34:34It's what any guy would want, right?
00:34:36I guess.
00:34:39Okay.
00:34:45Well, I guess we'll see what happens.
00:34:47Exactly.
00:34:48Keep an open mind.
00:35:04Hey.
00:35:06Oh.
00:35:08You scared me.
00:35:08Sorry, I thought you heard me come in.
00:35:11Oh, you're good.
00:35:12I'm glad you're here.
00:35:13I thought I'd take you up on your offer, you know, show me some pointers.
00:35:18Yeah.
00:35:19I'd love to.
00:35:20It's really simple.
00:35:22So, when you're lifting your pyramids, you're going to want to lower your hands a little bit.
00:35:26Oh.
00:35:27Yeah, like this.
00:35:29So, you're lifting a lot from here, and you really want to be lifting from here.
00:35:35Just like that.
00:35:37Feel the difference?
00:35:38You have really strong hands.
00:35:42I don't think anyone's ever complimented my hands before.
00:35:46Great hands.
00:35:48Great arms.
00:35:49Great shoulders.
00:35:51Great chin.
00:35:52Great lips.
00:35:53I'm sorry, I don't think I can do this with you.
00:35:56What?
00:35:57I'm sorry if I gave you the wrong impression, I just don't think I can do this.
00:36:00Yeah.
00:36:01No one's ever said no to this.
00:36:02It's nothing to do with you.
00:36:04You're hot.
00:36:05It's more I'm just in love with someone else.
00:36:07Seriously?
00:36:08I'm sorry.
00:36:09I should just go.
00:36:10I love that last part.
00:36:28We have to add it to the routine.
00:36:29I didn't realize anyone was still here.
00:36:32What are you still doing out here?
00:36:34I just felt like practicing.
00:36:35That's good work ethic.
00:36:48It's more I feel like I need to play catch up.
00:36:51Why is that?
00:36:52I feel like I've been ignoring cheer ever since.
00:37:02I was at practice last year when I got the call that my mom had a brain aneurysm.
00:37:10She died a few hours after that.
00:37:14And cheers never felt the same.
00:37:17I lost my mom young too.
00:37:21Oh?
00:37:23Sometimes it feels impossible to focus on the simple things.
00:37:27I get it.
00:37:29Exactly.
00:37:31But now that I'm here and we're getting closer to showcase,
00:37:36I'm starting to realize that she wouldn't want me to waste this opportunity.
00:37:41Moms always want what's best for their kids.
00:37:44Yeah.
00:37:46So I'm just trying to dust off the rest.
00:37:49Oh, you could have fooled me.
00:37:51Your talent does not go unnoticed.
00:37:55And honestly,
00:37:56I think you should be on the red team.
00:38:00Really?
00:38:01Yes.
00:38:02But unfortunately, it's not entirely up to me.
00:38:05But just now,
00:38:06I'm working on it.
00:38:08I'm rooting for you.
00:38:11I appreciate that.
00:38:14I appreciate that.
00:38:23You're welcome.
00:38:29Hello.
00:38:32Hi.
00:38:32I don't know.
00:39:02I don't know.
00:39:32I don't know.
00:40:02I don't know.
00:40:32I don't know.
00:41:02I don't know.
00:41:04You don't want me to date Victoria?
00:41:06Because you're into me?
00:41:10Wow, I never thought of us like that.
00:41:14I guess it makes sense.
00:41:16Hey!
00:41:26Hey!
00:41:28What the hell?!
00:41:32Where were you?
00:41:38Where were you?
00:41:40What?
00:41:42I was waiting for you.
00:41:44Some nut tried to run me over.
00:41:46What are you talking about?
00:41:48Your text.
00:41:50I waited for you in the parking lot, you never came, and instead some drunk psycho thought it would be funny to almost kill me.
00:41:54Wait, what text?
00:41:56The text last night to meet.
00:41:58I never texted you last night.
00:42:04I never sent those.
00:42:06That's how you're gonna play this?
00:42:08Maybe I was hacked.
00:42:09How would a hacker know to type all that?
00:42:10Okay, Jack, you need to calm down.
00:42:12I've never seen you like this.
00:42:13Well, you weren't almost murdered last night waiting for someone who'll never see you.
00:42:16What does that mean?
00:42:18I'm done.
00:42:19I've wasted too many years waiting for you.
00:42:22And you'll just see me as some friend that you can just stand up.
00:42:25Wait, Jack, I...
00:42:26Right?
00:42:27That's all I am to you.
00:42:29You're my best friend.
00:42:37What just happened?
00:42:39What?
00:42:40Should I go after him?
00:42:41No, you better give him his space.
00:42:45Don't worry.
00:42:59I haven't seen him all day.
00:43:02He told Coach Mary that he ate something weird and couldn't come to practice today.
00:43:07I'm worried about him.
00:43:10He'll be fine.
00:43:12I always thought we were so close because of how long we've known each other.
00:43:16And all last year I thought he liked this girl Harper.
00:43:19But it sounds like he joined here for you.
00:43:22I hope I didn't lead him on.
00:43:25Maybe part of you just didn't want to see it because then you would have to decide if you felt the same way.
00:43:32And if you didn't then you would be losing a friend.
00:43:37Maybe.
00:43:38He was just so mad.
00:43:42And to accuse me of lying?
00:43:44I didn't send those texts.
00:43:45I believe you.
00:43:48Hey girls.
00:43:50Did you see Jack today?
00:43:52He's not feeling well.
00:43:54Oh, poor Jack.
00:43:56I was gonna see if you wanted to go on a run.
00:43:58He's such a good guy, you know?
00:44:00Well, hopefully he feels better soon.
00:44:02Yeah, I hope so.
00:44:05Actually, I'm gonna go check on him.
00:44:08Tell him I wish him well.
00:44:12She's such a sweetie.
00:44:14Yeah.
00:44:15I'm really glad I met her.
00:44:16Oh, you two didn't know each other before camp?
00:44:18Mm-mm.
00:44:19Could've fooled me.
00:44:21Guess you just click with some people.
00:44:24You were close with Lily, weren't you?
00:44:28Yeah.
00:44:29Such a shame about her.
00:44:31It is.
00:44:32I really thought she could've won Camp Champion.
00:44:35Maybe.
00:44:36But not if she was using illegal substances to do so.
00:44:45It's funny though, isn't it?
00:44:47What?
00:44:48You gravitate towards being besties with really good cheerleaders.
00:44:51So?
00:44:52It doesn't bother you existing in someone else's shadow?
00:44:56That's not what I'm doing.
00:44:57Charlotte, I've seen you cheer.
00:44:59I know you can't do a full round out or a back tuck.
00:45:02Maybe girls like Lily and Sophia hang around you to make themselves feel superior.
00:45:06Just a little something to think about.
00:45:11Peach.
00:45:12Jack?
00:45:13Are you in there?
00:45:14Can we talk?
00:45:15Jack?
00:45:16Are you in there?
00:45:17Can we talk?
00:45:18Look, I'm sorry you almost got hurt because of me, but I promise you I didn't send those texts.
00:45:25I had no idea how you felt about me.
00:45:42Please, can we just talk?
00:45:44Go away Sophia.
00:45:45Okay.
00:45:46Fine.
00:45:47Maybe later?
00:45:48Okay.
00:45:49Fine.
00:45:50Maybe later?
00:45:51Next.
00:45:52Maybe later?
00:46:05Maybe later?
00:46:37Great job, everyone.
00:47:00If I was one of the judges at the final showcase, it would be a really tough decision.
00:47:04I'm sure it's really exciting to see all your hard work come together.
00:47:07Good job, good job, good job.
00:47:13There you are.
00:47:19I've been looking everywhere for you.
00:47:21Coach Cooper bought us all pizza.
00:47:23We're going to pick Nick on the practice field.
00:47:24When I asked Andrew if he was going, he said only if I was two.
00:47:28So come on, let's go.
00:47:29Victoria's meeting you here.
00:47:32Don't...
00:47:33Coach Mary is trying to make the case to move me onto the red team.
00:47:42So Victoria said she'd help me practice.
00:47:45And leave the blue team?
00:47:47It would just be a good opportunity.
00:47:51Of course.
00:47:53We're finally getting off-campus food and you want to stay here and practice with her?
00:47:59She's nice, okay?
00:48:01Don't be like that.
00:48:02Like what?
00:48:03I actually don't think that she's nice at all.
00:48:06She's kind of a bitch.
00:48:08Hey, come on.
00:48:11Victoria is taking her time to help me make sure this routine is perfect.
00:48:16Okay, fine.
00:48:18Whatever, have fun.
00:48:22Oh, hey Charlotte.
00:48:23You gonna come practice with us?
00:48:26Nope, I'm gonna go do something that you would never do.
00:48:29Load up on carbs and cheese.
00:48:33Ew.
00:48:33Ew.
00:48:33Oh my gosh.
00:48:40I love that sports bra.
00:48:42Oh, thanks.
00:48:51And that's the thing about Victoria.
00:48:53Trust me, I've cheered with her for years.
00:48:55She's only nice to you if you're good or have something to give her.
00:48:59Or if you have money.
00:49:01Sophia doesn't see it at all.
00:49:02Well, yeah, when you're in Victoria's orbit, you don't see it.
00:49:06I dated her in 8th grade.
00:49:08It was the worst month of my life.
00:49:10Who hacks a phone to send such specific texts?
00:49:14Why not get credit card info or email?
00:49:17That's why I feel like she's lying to me.
00:49:18Someone else could have sent the messages from her phone and then deleted them.
00:49:22Her phone's always on.
00:49:23She could have been asleep.
00:49:24So someone broke into her room and sent those texts?
00:49:34Victoria.
00:49:36But why?
00:49:37Just because I turned her down?
00:49:40I don't know.
00:49:41I mean, this whole thing seems a little bit off.
00:49:43Just do yourselves a favor.
00:49:45Stay away from Victoria.
00:49:49Sophia's not stupid, though.
00:49:51Does she really not see what kind of monster Victoria is?
00:49:54Clearly she hasn't.
00:49:55Not when you're under her spell.
00:49:56So, the arms are going to go like this.
00:50:22Got it?
00:50:26Oh, you pick up on things fast.
00:50:32You're a good teacher.
00:50:34Thanks.
00:50:36Oh.
00:50:40Oh, no.
00:50:42What?
00:50:44Cara just sent me something.
00:50:47Sophia's stupid, though.
00:50:49Kind of monster.
00:50:50Clearly.
00:50:52I guess they were talking crap on you
00:50:56and Cara thought you might want to know.
00:50:59I can't believe Jack would say that.
00:51:01Yeah.
00:51:02Typical nice guy facade.
00:51:04They pretend to be this great person
00:51:05and then once you shoot them down,
00:51:07their true nature shows through.
00:51:08I've seen it many times before.
00:51:10But, hey,
00:51:11it's good to know who your real friends are.
00:51:15I guess.
00:51:16It's the people who believe in you
00:51:18and lift you up
00:51:19as who you should be spending your time with.
00:51:22Why don't you come out with me tonight?
00:51:23Ow.
00:51:26Yes.
00:51:26I'll call us a lift
00:51:27and I know this club that never checks IDs.
00:51:30Come on.
00:51:31It'll be fun.
00:51:33Just two real friends out on the town.
00:51:38Okay.
00:51:39As long as we're not out too late.
00:51:41Yeah.
00:51:42They'll never know we were gone.
00:51:43Whoa, why are you dressed like that?
00:51:56Going out?
00:51:58Where?
00:52:00To a place where friends
00:52:01don't call their friends stupid.
00:52:04What?
00:52:05I know what you said about me.
00:52:09What are you talking about?
00:52:10Okay, so now you're lying to my face.
00:52:14Look, I have to go.
00:52:15Victoria's waiting for me.
00:52:19She's not a good person, Sophia.
00:52:22Oh, good.
00:52:23So now you got them on your side?
00:52:25I think she's the one
00:52:26who sent me those texts
00:52:27and tried to run me over.
00:52:28You sound crazy.
00:52:32Just be careful, okay?
00:52:33Okay?
00:52:35I'm not yours to worry about, Jack.
00:52:38Relax.
00:52:40Who are you?
00:52:42Someone who just sees things
00:52:43a little more clearly.
00:53:00It's amazing what you can get away with
00:53:02by showing some cleavage.
00:53:04You have to try that.
00:53:05We have a really early practice
00:53:08in the morning.
00:53:08Yes, I know,
00:53:10but right now you're here with me
00:53:11and we're having fun
00:53:12and not worrying about everything so much.
00:53:18Okay, fine.
00:53:20Just one.
00:53:21But if your mom found out,
00:53:22she'd be pissed.
00:53:23Don't worry about my mom.
00:53:25She's a little too tightly wound.
00:53:28So letting go.
00:53:31So letting go.
00:53:32It's strong.
00:53:44So what about your mom?
00:53:45Is she...
00:53:46striped?
00:53:49She actually died last year.
00:53:52Oh.
00:53:53My God, I'm so sorry.
00:53:54That's awful.
00:53:56Do you mind if I ask how?
00:54:00Brain aneurysm?
00:54:01Out of the blue?
00:54:03That's horrible.
00:54:06I actually was about four
00:54:08when I got stuck on the play structure
00:54:11at the Park Bearer house.
00:54:14She climbed up to help me down,
00:54:17but she slipped
00:54:18and had a pretty bad concussion.
00:54:20She suffered from these
00:54:23awful migraines after that.
00:54:30I always wondered if...
00:54:34People always told me
00:54:35it wasn't related.
00:54:36What happened to mom
00:54:37is not your fault.
00:54:39Okay?
00:54:42You need another drink?
00:54:44No.
00:54:45Yes.
00:54:48It will help.
00:54:49Trust me.
00:54:49I don't know.
00:55:19It's this way, right?
00:55:23Oh, girl, girl, girl, girl.
00:55:24It's this way.
00:55:27Oh, I think I'm gonna puke.
00:55:30No, no.
00:55:31That's gross.
00:55:32Don't do that.
00:55:34You're so great.
00:55:37That's the booze talk.
00:55:38No, seriously.
00:55:39You're like so good at everything.
00:55:43So are you.
00:55:45What do you mean?
00:55:47Don't worry about it.
00:55:50It's fine.
00:55:51It's a little late to be wandering around campus.
00:55:54Are you here with the cheer camp?
00:55:57Yes.
00:55:59We were just going for a walk.
00:56:01Have you been drinking?
00:56:06No.
00:56:07No.
00:56:09And there is no way you're a guard here.
00:56:11You're way too hot.
00:56:14You do realize I have to alert the camp that two of their girls are wandering around campus intoxicated?
00:56:20We're going to bed right now.
00:56:22I hope so.

01:04:17okay
01:04:17no
01:04:19there
01:04:31keep this on it
01:04:33your range of motion makes me think it's a twist rather than a sprain
01:04:36but I'd like to monitor it to be sure
01:04:38well when can I get back out
01:04:41honestly I think it's best you stay off it for a while
01:04:44the rest of camp in fact
01:04:45but I can move it
01:04:47but not well
01:04:49and I'm worried being on it would just make things worse
01:04:51it's weak right now
01:04:53the showcase is in a few days
01:04:55yes but what's more important
01:04:57permanent damage to your ankle
01:04:59or a showcase
01:05:00the showcase
01:05:01I have to win camp champion
01:05:04at least
01:05:05I really want a fair shot at it
01:05:07this is my professional opinion
01:05:10I'm gonna get a second opinion
01:05:13of course
01:05:15but I do have to let the coaches know what I think of it

01:05:30fine
01:05:36I'll be there
01:05:47I'll be there
01:05:48I'll be there
01:05:50Lily, yes?
01:06:14Thanks so much for meeting me.
01:06:16I have to admit, I was super confused when I got your DM.
01:06:21Yeah, um, I've been rooming with Charlotte at camp.
01:06:26I miss that girl.
01:06:29Tell her I said hi.
01:06:31When we first met, she made it clear she didn't think you would, well, take performance enhancement drugs.
01:06:41Yeah, I didn't.
01:06:43So how did you get kicked out of camp?
01:06:47My blood work told a different story.
01:06:50Trust me, I'm just as confused as you are.
01:06:54One minute I'm fine, and the next I feel sick and dizzy and I almost crashed my car.
01:06:59It sounds like you were drugged.
01:07:01Obviously.
01:07:02I never took anything.
01:07:03Well, did you drink anything weird?
01:07:06Or eat something?
01:07:08The only weird thing was that I could have sworn I had my water bottle with me at practice, but then it was in my car.
01:07:18Well, let's say someone did dose your water.
01:07:23It would have to be someone who knew how to knock you out, and how to get the steroid to show up on the blood work.
01:07:29Yeah.
01:07:30Someone with medical knowledge.
01:07:33Someone like Greg, the camp trainer who I think is hooking up with Victoria Richards.
01:07:39Do you know her?
01:07:41That little bitch.
01:07:43I knew she couldn't stand that I was good.
01:07:46I knew she couldn't stand that I was good.
01:07:49But to go that far?
01:07:51Yeah.
01:07:52My guess is she found you to be a threat.
01:07:56And lucky me.
01:07:59I'm her next target.
01:08:00So what are you going to do?
01:08:04Because trust me, the police won't believe you.
01:08:07They called me crazy.
01:08:10I just got to find my own proof.
01:08:30I'm so thankful you were there.
01:09:00I showed Victoria the video you sent me.
01:09:03She said that Greg attacked her, and she was afraid to come forward because she thought no one would believe her.
01:09:08But luckily you got it all on camera.
01:09:11But you and Greg were hooking up.
01:09:13I was just looking for a wrap for my wrist, and then he attacked me.
01:09:17Oh, my poor baby.
01:09:19Greg has been fired, expelled, and charged with sexual assault.
01:09:26My angel.
01:09:30Don't ever try to stay with me again.
01:09:38Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
01:09:41I thought Greg was one of the good ones.
01:09:44I hate it when I'm wrong.
01:09:45I'm sorry.
01:09:48I don't know.
01:09:50I don't know.
01:09:54I don't know.
01:09:56No.
01:09:57I don't know.
01:10:27How's your ankle feeling?
01:10:40Much better.
01:10:41But I can't cheer for the red team.
01:10:44Oh, too much pressure?
01:10:47No.
01:10:48I just would rather cheer for a team that I believe in
01:10:51than one that's been rigged against me.
01:10:57Come on.
01:11:04Coach Barry, I want to rejoin the blue team.
01:11:10And I have some ideas that will make us all just as good as red.
01:11:13I just have a few things.
01:11:43I want to say I'm sorry.
01:11:48Deeply sorry.
01:11:50I messed up.
01:11:52And I regret that.
01:11:53But Jack, you are my best friend, and I care more about you than I can ever express.
01:12:04And Charlotte, you've been a true friend from the start, and I screwed you over, and for
01:12:11that I am forever sorry.
01:12:13I'm sorry I believe Victoria over the both of you.
01:12:17She is pure evil, and I see that now.
01:12:22I made mistakes, and I let this place get the better of me.
01:12:26But I want our team to dominate hers.
01:12:30I have some new choreography, and I'd love to show you both.
01:12:35I'm realizing now that the only way to take Victoria down is to just outperform her.
01:12:42Then I guess we'd better get practicing.
01:12:56I'm a little bit crazy.
01:12:56These new moves, it's all in the hips, okay?
01:12:59So make sure you keep it nice and strong.
01:13:02Just like that.
01:13:03You need to go for that.
01:13:04Looking good, everyone.
01:13:27Really good.
01:13:29Take five for water.
01:13:34It's good.
01:13:38And us?
01:13:40Are we good?
01:13:43If tomorrow at Showcase, you give it everything you have.
01:13:48I will.
01:13:50Then we're good.
01:13:52Glad to have you back.
01:13:56Making some last-minute changes, I see.
01:13:59Yeah.
01:14:00I see them more as improvements.
01:14:02A little risky, so close to Showcase, don't you think?
01:14:06I'm not worried.
01:14:08Good.
01:14:09May the best team win.
01:14:11And may the best cheerleader get the scholarship.
01:14:15Indeed.
01:14:20I am worried.
01:14:22Me too.
01:14:24And do what you have to do.
01:14:29Do you know where the car is?
01:14:30I have the parking up on my phone.
01:14:34I'll meet you there.
01:14:34I'll meet you there.
01:14:35I'll meet you there.
01:14:41Oh, my God.
01:15:11No one can hear you.
01:15:27Victoria, what are you doing?
01:15:29I'm just doing what it takes to win.
01:15:32That's all this is, Sophia.
01:15:33I have to win.
01:15:35You're crazy.
01:15:37Let me go!
01:15:38I can't.
01:15:39At least not until after the showcase.
01:15:42People are going to know that I'm missing.
01:15:44Maybe.
01:15:45But we are in the middle of nowhere, so it's very unlikely that anybody will come looking
01:15:49for you.
01:15:51And when the showcase is over, you will get caught.
01:15:54I won't.
01:15:56But Greg will.
01:15:58He was the one seeking his revenge on you.
01:16:00After all, you were the one that got him expelled and fired.
01:16:03Careful.
01:16:08We all know how you feel about heights.
01:16:10You're insane.
01:16:11I earned this award.
01:16:13I earned this spot.
01:16:14And this is my turn.
01:16:15You're the insane one if you think that I was just going to let that happen.
01:16:20Victoria.
01:16:20TTYL.
01:16:27Help!
01:16:27Charlotte!
01:16:33Please knock.
01:16:34She didn't sleep in her bed.
01:16:36Who?
01:16:36Sophia.
01:16:37She didn't come back to her room last night.
01:16:39I'll call her.
01:16:40I've tried her all morning.
01:16:41This isn't right.
01:16:43She wouldn't miss this, would she?
01:16:45I think I know someone who might know where she is.
01:16:47I think I know someone who might know where she is.
01:16:49She wouldn't just leave this here.
01:17:18Victoria!
01:17:18Victoria!
01:17:19Stop walking!
01:17:24What do you two want?
01:17:26Where is Sophia?
01:17:27I don't know.
01:17:28No one's seen her since dinner yesterday.
01:17:30I just found this on the ground over there.
01:17:33My guess?
01:17:34The pressure got to her.
01:17:36Cold feet.
01:17:36She probably ran home to daddy.
01:17:38Where is she?
01:17:39Get off me.
01:17:40Don't touch me.
01:17:42I need to go warm up.
01:17:43I'm about to be crown camp champion.
01:17:46See you two losers.
01:17:48Well, hopefully never.
01:17:49What do we do?
01:17:55I don't know.
01:17:56But I think her phone might help.
01:17:57It says it's a few more miles up.
01:18:12Why out in the middle of nowhere?
01:18:14I'm trying not to think about what that can mean.
01:18:16I think her phone's tracking previous parking spots.
01:18:18Let's go.
01:18:48Let's go.
01:19:18Let's go.
01:19:20Let's go.
01:19:22Let's go.
01:19:24Let's go.
01:19:26Let's go.
01:19:28Sophia!
01:19:30Call 9-1-1!
01:19:36What the hell happened?
01:19:38Let's go.

01:22:47I am proud of every single camper who participated this year.
01:22:58It's athletes like you that remind me why I became a coach.
01:23:03That's why I'm pleased to announce that the judges have selected this year's cheer camp champion
01:23:10and winner of a full-ride college scholarship, Sophia Jacobs.
01:23:18I am so happy it's you.
01:23:31Your mom would be so proud.
01:23:35Is it okay if I say a few words?
01:23:38Sure.
01:23:41Congratulations.
01:23:42I just wanted to thank Coach Cooper and Coach Mary for pushing me these last two weeks to be the best cheerleader I can be.
01:23:53And I want to thank my dad, who has always believed in me.
01:24:00But most of all, I want to thank my two best friends, Jack and Charlotte.
01:24:05But not only are they great friends, but they also saved my life right before this very showcase.
01:24:12You see, last night I was hit in the head, tied to a tree, and left in the middle of the woods.
01:24:20And that was all thanks to Victoria Richards.
01:24:27What?
01:24:29Is this some sort of joke?
01:24:31I mean, way to win the award and spew lies.
01:24:35Not lies.
01:24:37The police department recovered camera footage from a water tower south of the interstate last night.
01:24:43There's footage of you tying her up.
01:24:46Come with me.
01:24:47You're under arrest.
01:24:48You have the right to remain silent.
01:24:51What?
01:24:52I can explain, I'm sure.
01:24:54Anything you say can and will be used against you at all.
01:24:58You have the right.
01:24:59Don't say anything until I've called her a lawyer.
01:25:10There you are.
01:25:12You sort of took off after the ceremony.
01:25:14I don't have to pack.
01:25:15I wish you didn't leave so soon.
01:25:18Because I wanted to do this.
01:25:28It took me almost dying to make me realize how much I love you.
01:25:33So I don't want to burst your bubble, but I'm not sure if it's yours for me.
01:25:41And what didn't you like about it?
01:25:44The crazy bitch that tried to kill us?
01:25:46Or the long practices?
01:25:49Toss up.
01:25:50For a bee a new one, I got to do this.
01:25:52I swear to God, it's awesome.
01:26:01I'm sorry.
01:26:03I'm sorry.
01:26:04I love you.
