00:00The New York Liberty continued their eight-game homestand here in the month of July with an 87-78 victory over the Las Vegas Aces here at the Barclays Center.
00:08And it was a nice bounce-back win for this team and one where Liberty fans saw something from this team they hadn't seen in quite some time.
00:15They didn't see it on the road trip they recently had, the four-game one last month.
00:20And that is the team brought the energy for four quarters, something that they like, something that Brianna Stewart says this team has to do if they're going to continue winning games.
00:28I think that's what I was talking about with the rebounds and the free throws.
00:32Like, you know, it's nothing crazy, you know.
00:36We're not trying to add a ton of load to anybody in particular, but effort plays, you know, really kind of imposing our will, getting those rebounds.
00:44That position where we had, like, multiple offensive rebounds between Beck and KB, like, those things matter.
00:50And getting downhill, getting to the free throw line.
00:53I don't think we shot enough free throws in our last game, and that was just a point of emphasis for us.
00:58Now, the team did come together in this game.
01:00They led by as many as nine points in the second quarter before they saw that lead step away.
01:05And they did outscore the Aces 15-6 over the final four minutes of the game.
01:09Some very impressive performances in this contest.
01:12And you heard about the defense that Brianna Stewart talked about and the rebound.
01:15And Kennedy Burke, six steals in this game.
01:18The Liberty had ten total in this contest.
01:20So she was a monster on the defensive end.
01:23And then you have to talk about Sabrina Unescu.
01:25Tremendous offensive performance in this one.
01:2728 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists.
01:30And Brianna Stewart liked what she saw from the Liberty guard.
01:33Yeah, I mean, I think Saab came in.
01:34Obviously, she wasn't really happy with the way she played on the road trip.
01:37She was dealing with her neck injury.
01:38But came in, and it's just efficient in a lot of different categories.
01:45And helping get us kind of jump-started offensively and making the right plays in the right reads.
01:51So next up for the Liberty, they got themselves a couple of days off.
01:54But they'll be back in action here at the Barclays Center on Sunday against the Atlanta Dream.
01:58Well, they will look for a little bit of revenge.
02:00The Dream ended their trip with a loss last time.
02:03And now the Liberty will try to hand Atlanta a loss as they come here to the Barclays Center on Sunday afternoon.
