00:00I'm 80 years old. I turned 80 in March, and I've been running two races a week, almost 52 weeks a year, and I run workouts, which includes the races, five or six days a week.
00:17I enjoy running. I mostly enjoy running with the people I run with. I do not like running by myself. It's a social thing, and we look forward to going out to eat at almost every time after we run.
00:33It's a social event, and even though we talk about the same things we talked about the day before, it's conversation.
00:38I ran in high school, and I went back to running at age 40. I started running with my kids and my wife, and my email address is B514 front, because I have three kids, myself and Maury, and the five of us run.
00:55I put together a group. I was now 61 runners. I went on there as the casual runners. I built a group on people I like to run with, so every time I learned a person that I liked with, I'd write it down and see if they wanted to run more, and we formed a group, the casual runners.
01:14And we also have another group, which is trying to run 50 states, half marathon and marathon in 50 states, and it's up to about 34. So I got to see a lot of the country because of running.
01:29In September, a group will be going to Scotland to run a race and to tour the country. I'm going to see a lot of countries and places because of running.
01:42We've run in Dublin recently. We've run in Boston, Boston Marathon. We've run in Iceland. We ran the New York City Marathon twice, myself and my wife.
01:55I ran Boston Marathon with his bike, that's an accomplishment. I had a rather good time there.
02:01Just ran a very challenging course in Sunken Middle, which was like 6.2 miles on high hills, and that almost got to me. That was real tough.
02:10I do not like to run by myself. That's how I formed a group. Not everybody shows up for every run, but as long as I get two, sometimes I get 20.
02:20People have other things to do rather than do what I want to do.
02:23A lot of people, most people are younger than me, and they know my name, and they can say hello, and I encourage them.
02:31They keep me running. I keep trying to beat them, even though they're younger than me, but they still know who I am.
