00:00I have received many messages about Taylor Chase.
00:05I reached out to some friends of mine, and we have a bed for him at a detox,
00:10and we have a place for him to go and get long-term treatment.
00:14All we need to do now is find him.
00:16This Mighty Duck star is looking to lend a helping hand
00:20after a former Nickelodeon child actor was spotted extremely disheveled
00:25and apparently living on the streets of Riverside, California.
00:2847-year-old Sean Weiss, who was known for playing the intrepid goalie Greg Goldberg
00:34in the three Mighty Ducks films, posted a video on Instagram on December 22nd,
00:39pleading with fans and friends to help find Ned's declassified star Tyler Chase.
00:44I'm not in Los Angeles, or I would go look for him myself.
00:48We see here he's on La Sierra at Riverside.
00:53I don't really know where that is,
00:54but if anybody can go get a face-to-face with Taylor,
00:57please DM me so we can get him some help in time for the holiday.
01:03Weiss, who also appeared in TV shows like Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Boy Meets World,
01:07also experienced his own difficulties entering rehab in 2018 after several drug-related arrests.
01:14He got arrested again in 2020 for residential burglary while high on meth,
01:19which led to him getting sober that year.
01:21But now, Weiss is leading the charge to help Chase, who is going through his own difficult moment.
01:27Widespread concern for Chase was sparked on social media after a heartbreaking video went viral at the end of December,
01:33showing the 36-year-old experiencing homelessness and in a vulnerable financial situation.
01:38The clip, which was originally shared in September, sparked concern among fans,
01:56but also brought a litany of criticism.
01:58Why would you record him unless it's to try to get him help?
02:01Shame on you.
02:02Shaking my head how you're just going to record him like that at his worst.
02:06He probably didn't even want to be seen like that.
02:09No heart.
02:10Chase's former co-stars, Devin Werkheiser, Lindsay Shaw, and Daniel Curtis Lee,
02:15also spoke out about the viral video on an episode of their Ned's Declassified Podcast Survival Guide.
02:22I gotta go and see him.
02:23I want to get through this fight and then try to connect with him somehow.
02:29I would just love to go, like, speak with him and just love on him and just look him in the eye, you know?
02:38I miss Tyler.
02:39I love Tyler so, so much.
02:41After the video of Chase went viral in September, a GoFundMe was launched to help the former actor,
02:46with the page reportedly raising over $1,200 before it was shut down by Chase's mother,
02:51who reportedly said her son needed medical attention, not money.
02:55Riverside Police Department confirmed at TMZ that Chase has been denying help,
02:59including temporary shelter, drug and alcohol treatment, and mental health services.
03:04They added that officers are familiar with Chase and interact with him at least once a week.
