00:00I'm Justin Joseph. I am Anthony D'Essa. I'm Rory Lachman. I'm Christian Bordeaux. I'm
00:05Rory McDermott. And we are the sophomores on varsity for the San Diego
00:08football team. It means a lot to have this opportunity to play. I'm working
00:12with the team every day. We're getting better. The main goal is to win a
00:15championship. Out-of-conference schedule, artists you get. That team was
00:19insane. That's the best competition you're gonna get out here. I'm so
00:23glad we even got to play those out-of-state competitions. It's a big
00:27exposure for us. That level of competition is so fast, physical,
00:30like hard. It just prepares me for the league games that are coming up. What
00:35game are you looking forward to the most coming up? Yeah, probably. It's a tough game.
00:42Bosco probably is gonna be the hardest game we're gonna have, but still it's a
00:46tough game. We gotta win. We gotta do our best. You just gotta be physical. You gotta
00:50try. You gotta keep up as much as you can. You gotta be just at your
00:54grip on this level. I mean, you gotta take it one at a time and really just, you
00:58know, you have to go straight to work. I mean, I try not to think because if I
01:03think, then I'm gonna, you know, get scattered in my head, but it's a lot.
01:07Just have to go to work. Just have to go to work. That's my motto. Just go to work.
01:12You know, try as hard as you can and at the end of the day, you have to
01:16think that you're gonna succeed and that's what I did. The off-season, we had the
01:20workouts in the basement and having live periods in the morning. You know, a lot
01:24of seniors and juniors, you know, Bryce, Kevin Moore, Xavier, Johnny Russo, like,
01:30they always gave us that big brother type of role. Like, every time we made a soft
01:34mistake, they wouldn't really get on us and get mad. They would actually push us
01:37through better. You know, after practice, whether if you need a ride to the train
01:41station on a boat with food with the team, they're always just there for us to just
01:45take us. Our coach, Riker, he organizes the weight room workouts and every, every
01:51day that we were in there, he was always pushing us. And Coach Mnucci, just a
01:56great offensive and head coach, really just, you know, making sure we're not
02:00making those mistakes and just pushing us, you know, making sure we're here on
02:03time and making sure we're not taking our foot off the gas during practice.
02:06Granted, things still according to plan in November, this will be your first
02:09for our city title, all of you together. Yes. How bad do you want it? You want it.
02:14Every day in practice, you know, when we're doing those gassers and we're on that
02:17last rep, Coach Mnucci always tells us, like, we got to suck it up because when
02:21we're in game, pain is just temporary. Like, we're only going to feel it in the
02:25moment. We're not going to feel it for the rest of our lives.
