00:00Aaron Judge was named L Player of the Month for the month of September.
00:04We all know about how great All-Rise is in the regular season,
00:07but we also know how he struggled in the postseason as well.
00:11We mentioned, you even talked about how the Red Sox have Garrett Crochet on the mound tonight.
00:17Judge actually struck out 10 times and 13 at-bats against Crochet this season,
00:21but he also hit two home runs as well.
00:23So how important is it for Judge to get off to a hot start game one
00:28and for the series as well?
00:30Yeah, it's big.
00:31I mean, we always see it.
00:32The Yankees often go as Aaron Judge goes, and a lot of times that's going pretty good.
00:38He had a heck of a finish to the regular season.
00:41He scuffled a little bit offensively when he came back from that flexor strain,
00:45but the month of September he was pretty locked in.
00:47Obviously, they wanted to win the division, which would have given them a buy into the ALDS,
00:51but you almost wonder if it's not the worst thing that they kind of get this wild card
00:55and just have one day off and go right into the playoffs
00:57because the way the judge has been swinging the bat,
00:59you kind of just want to keep going and ride that hot hand.
01:03Like you said, the past postseasons hasn't necessarily translated what he did in the regular season over into October,
01:11but you figure with the player, you know, of his talent that he keeps on getting these chances in October,
01:15one of these times he's going to kind of take off and keep waiting for it to happen.
01:19You know, obviously it would be a good time for it here,
01:22facing the Red Sox team that has given them troubles.
01:24And if they get past this series, the Blue Jays waiting, again,
01:28another team that gave them, you know, a handful this season.
01:31So they could certainly use it.
01:32You know, he's had it in flashes in past postseasons,
01:36but you're kind of waiting on that one where he's on fire, you know, the whole time,
01:40which is tough, you know, you face tough pitching in the postseason,
01:43but a guy of his caliber, you kind of feel like it's coming if he gets enough chances here.
01:48So obviously it would be a big, you know, boost for the Yankees
01:52if they can get that kind of judge.
