The chaos in Trost District intensifies as the surviving recruits are scattered and running low on resources. Mikasa Ackerman, devastated by the loss of Eren, continues fighting Titans with unmatched skill — but her fuel for the omni-directional mobility gear is nearly depleted.
When her gas finally runs out, Mikasa prepares herself to die fighting rather than retreat. She recalls Eren’s words to “keep fighting,” and as a Titan closes in, she resolves to strike one final blow.
Just as she faces certain death, an unexpected mysterious Titan appears and attacks another Titan instead of humans — shocking everyone. This abnormal Titan seems to fight on behalf of humanity, crushing and killing other Titans with raw strength and rage.
Meanwhile, Armin and Conny Springer regroup and manage to rescue Mikasa using what little gas they have left. The three of them witness the mysterious Titan’s strange behavior and decide to use it as an opportunity to reclaim the supply HQ, which is overrun by Titans.
The episode ends on a hopeful yet eerie note, as humanity sees — for the first time — a Titan that appears to be their ally.
