00:21methods method 1 first make sure your ethernet cable is firmly connected to both your pc and
00:29your router or modem if possible switch to a different ethernet port to rule out a port issue
00:34next unplug the cable and plug it back in securely to ensure a solid connection and if you have a
00:39spare cable try using it sometimes the problem is simply a damaged cable
00:46method 2 press the windows key plus r key to open the run box then type ncpa.cpl and click ok this
00:53will open the network connections window look for your main adapter usually called ethernet if it
00:59shows as disabled simply right click and choose enable to be sure try disable it and enable it again
01:08method 3 search for device manager and open it
01:16next expand network adapters and right click on your main ethernet connection it may appear under a
01:22different name then select properties go to the power management tab
01:28and uncheck the option allow the computer to turn off this device to save power click ok close device
