00:32said Japan aims to strengthen ties with ASEAN through its free and open Indo-Pacific policy.

00:39Japan advocates for free and open Indo-Pacific and consistently support the ASEAN outlook on the Indo-Pacific,

00:53which shared fundamental principles with FOIP.

00:59It is very gratifying to be able to adapt a joint statement with ASEAN leaders today,

01:09which affirmed the synergy between FOIP and ASEAN and confirm our will to promote further cooperation between Japan and ASEAN.

01:24She said Japan and ASEAN have long enjoyed a trust-based partnership built through extensive cooperation in various sectors.

01:32Next year will mark the 10th anniversary since the late Prime Minister Shinzo Abe launched the FOIP vision in 2016.
