00:00I would love to hear how working as a writer has informed just your acting and understanding of this world and these characters.
00:07I love being able to be in the writer's room ahead of going on as an actor,
00:13because there's this kind of period of where you get to sort of immerse yourself in the world.
00:18So it was really fun for me to just learn who these other people are and how my character would connect with them,
00:25or if she does connect with them.
00:26It textures your whole process. It adds, you're in the writer's room a little as an actor,
00:32and you act with a little bit of the writer in the back of your brain.
00:37There are interesting things where sometimes you're like, okay, as an actor, I'd really like this,
00:42but as a writer, we've got to keep things moving for the A story.
00:46It's a unique experience. I'm so glad I did it.
00:50I look up to BJ and Mindy an enormous amount, and Mike Schur, and a bunch of these old office records.
00:57Obviously, everyone on this show is really talented, but Paul acts, and he writes, and he directs.
01:03To get to have that sort of experience underneath Greg Daniels the way that other people have gotten to, really special.
01:09Here we go.
