00:14How did you decide to bring him back? And were there any other original characters you were considering?
00:18Well, so much of the thinking in the beginning was how do we do a new show but never, you know, ding or tarnish the old show?
00:30We were very, very protective of the original show and the original cast and didn't want to open up a story that was successfully closed in the finale.
00:39So Oscar was one of the few characters, possibly the only one, who didn't really have a huge arc in the show.
00:47You know, he maintained his dignity throughout most of the show.
00:53And when we last saw him, he was starting to run for office as a local state senator.
01:01But, you know, there wasn't closure on his character journey.
01:07And, of course, he's also incredibly funny.
