00:04was he saying anything about oh it feels so interesting or weird to be back in this kind
00:10of setting what was that like it seemed to me that he was absolutely thrilled to be doing
00:17a scripted show to be um you know using the great acting chops that he has um I mean this
00:26can do anything what a great person he is you know I had only met him the one time that I went on his
00:34show when we were just launching Elves Beth and he was so lovely it was my very first late night
00:40uh interview it was strange to then for them for me to then be the hostess for him on the show and
00:51yet he's playing a late night show talk talk show host on our show and so there were all these fun
00:59layers and he's working with two of his old friends Amy Sedaris and Andy Richter I think he was really
01:06happy to be reunited with them and also the week before he came to play with us he found out that
01:14his show was not being renewed um and so I think it was probably a boost you know for him to have
01:24something to to concentrate on that wasn't about that and we were as a matter of fact a little worried
01:31that he was going to be too busy to come and do it with us um but true to his nature he made it happen
01:39and honored his commitment and was really flawless
