00:00One of my favorite moments in the show is when we just see Carolyn dry heaving, sobbing, like she's
00:06reading the newspaper. And it was such a brutal moment to watch. I know you say that you have the
00:13press under control, but it's really starting to feel like the opposite. And I haven't said any of
00:18this to you because I love you so much. Especially towards the end of our season, that the public
00:26scrutiny is a theme that we really were exploring and feeling, I felt like as Carolyn's at playing
00:32her and being essentially an advocate for her and recognizing that she never went on the
00:38record. And so many assumptions were made about her. So many insanely misogynistic headlines
00:43were written about her. It really like fueled me in a way. There were many takes and many
00:50tries at that scene where I think it was, she had a lot more vitriol. And sometimes
00:56that would be focused at John. And I remember being pulled aside by Brad Simpson. He was like,
01:04remember, think about the whole show. We're making love story. We're not making marriage
01:08story. I was proud of that moment because I think it hit the right levels of frustration
01:14and like exasperation and fear and tiredness.
