00:00The second edition of the Goat and Sheep Expo is being held in Venezuela,
00:05an event that includes an animal exhibition and artisanal food fairs to promote local economic development.
00:11From the state of Miranda, our colleague Michelle Ramirez gives us the details.
00:18The 2025 Goat and Sheep Expo Fair is being held in the Tuya Valley region of Miranda State,
00:23an event that aims to showcase local businesses in the livestock sector and its derivatives.
00:30We have been a family production unit for seven years.
00:36We are entirely dedicated to goat production.
00:38We live entirely from it.
00:40We have dairy products.
00:41We have learned to train ourselves to obtain all the high-quality dairy and meat products.
00:51Our project is called Aprisco Dona Maria.
00:54We are basically dedicated to goat breeding.
00:56We produce goat milk derivatives such as cheese, cream cheese, and other products.
01:01This is our first participation of Aprisco Dona Maria in the second edition of the Yara Fair.
01:09According to authorities, this activity is emerging as a key strategy to promote development
01:15and diversify the economy, despite the US government's siege against the country.
01:19In contrast, Venezuela has a climate that is adaptable and has a very interesting forage production.
01:30So that the potential we have in the midst of an imperial siege that is attacking the economy,
01:35especially oil, which is our main source of income,
01:37we are going to diversify the economy with the production of small ruminant animals with low contribution,
01:42in this case lambs, goats, and of course, all the genetics that we have been contributing.
01:51For their part, entrepreneurs assure that their small and large companies contribute considerably to national production,
01:58guaranteeing the country's economic sovereignty.
02:00We contribute 100% because we are producers.
02:06We produce from the countryside for the city, for the entire population.
02:10So, of course, what you need is a little dedication to put a lot of love and care into what you do,
02:15and perseverance.
02:16That is the secret to it.
02:17This event will run until October 27th, and will also feature the Cantary's Delta Music Festival,
02:29as well as cultural activities for the enjoyment of citizens.
02:32This is part of the national government's policies to strengthen the agricultural and livestock entrepreneurship sector.
02:37In the camera, Gustavo Flores, Michelle Ramírez, from Miranda, Venezuela, for Telesur.
