00:00That heart-to-heart you had with Steven after that disastrous family trip felt
00:05like the breakthrough you two needed. Were you happy that he opened up to you
00:09about Kala? But I really think that this emotional rollercoaster that you're on,
00:16that Kala and I are on, it's like this is so heightened right now. She's still
00:21getting an apartment down there. And we're just... In Dallas? Mm-hmm.
00:26It just establishes the trust between us that, you know, business is business,
00:32but when somebody reaches out to me on a personal level, especially Steven, the way he is,
00:40he's an extremely private person. So, you know, talking about that meant a world to me.
00:45And it was interesting to see him draw the parallels between his and Kala's relationship
00:51and yours and Steve's relationship. Do you think there's hope that he can sort of unlearn these
00:58patterns that he's been shown his whole life? I hope so. I hope so. And honestly,
01:07I've drawn that parallel for quite a bit, you know, as Steven was dating Kala, I've noticed the same
01:15patterns between me and Steve. He deserves so much more. And he is an amazing person. And I, like,
01:23I am the biggest advocate for Steven, for sure. Well, it's clear this season how much he stood up for
01:30you and how much he defended you, sort of in your darkest days to everyone. What did that support mean
01:36to you? It meant everything. Um, we all have darkest days. It's, it's been an incredibly rough journey for
01:46me. Um, I, I, I did some stupid shit. Uh, I mean, I'm not proud of, but, uh, I mean, that's how I felt in
01:56the moment. Uh, it's, it's been a lot, but the fact that Steven, you know, we, we're not biologically
02:04family by any means, but we've been with each other through the business, through dark and gray
02:10times for quite, quite some times. And for him to have my back, um, I, I think that's what getting
02:17me out of that. And I think that conversation with him was really the first time you acknowledged
02:23Christie and the way their marriage came to an end. Do you think that acknowledgement sort of helped
02:29to play a part in your own healing journey? Huge, huge. Uh, I feel that, um, I was not really informed
02:40well about their entire marriage. Um, you know, I, I, I understand Christie so much more now, you know,
02:47I don't feel that I've done anything to their marriage that wasn't done way, you know, before I
02:55came into the picture. Um, but absolutely adore her. She is a great, great person. Um,
03:05the fact that Steven, um, who loves his mom came to, you know, came to me, understood me and accepted
03:15me, like meant universe to me. So, yeah. Well, it just sort of showed how clearly important you are
03:22to him that he would sort of push for this reconciliation between you and his mother.
03:28I'm sitting here watching my dad do what he does and watching my mom, watching you get her.
03:33No, it was worse for her. They've been married for 28 years.
03:4025 years. 25 years. Yeah.
03:42I am so happy that that happened. Um, I, you know, I message Christie all the time.
03:48Um, you, we are in a lot better place now that we've ever been before. So I'm very happy.
03:55I really loved, um, the dinner you two had. And I think it took a lot of courage from you
04:00to apologize to Christie and speak your piece.
04:04I, I guess I never really, um, realized how it felt to be the other woman between you guys.
04:12And that cut deep. Wasn't okay.
04:21Was that cathartic for you?
04:23Yes. Oh, absolutely. Yes. Yes. Um, I could not imagine the pain that she went through.
04:31Um, just getting on the same page and for, for me to be able to tell her how, how deeply I care
04:40about, I'm like, it's not just about relationship with Steve. I mean, it's never was, uh, it's about
04:46businesses. It's about boys. It's so much more. And for me to speak my truth was so incredibly
04:54meaningful. And like, and the way she accepted me was unbelievable. Like I'm very, very grateful.
05:03At one point she said, Galena's a strong woman and I need her to be a strong woman.
05:08I just want the chaos to end. She's a strong woman and I need her to be a strong woman right now.
05:15Did her candid comments about the whole Masha situation and how it's best for you, for everyone
05:22to move on, did that give you the final push to start healing?
05:26Yes. Because it, in a way it gave me the trust that I needed. It, it validated me more than just
05:36a tool for anything like that. You know, when the mother comes in and validates you, it's everything.
05:43Yeah. And, uh, you know, what do you think about Christie's theory that Steve doesn't want his boys
05:50in stable relationships because he wants them to have a round and party with?
05:57Um, I, you know, in a way, probably with the truth until he had granddaughters.
06:07Then I think it's not going to be the case. You were in Nashville on a business trip and met up with
06:12the boys for Jesse's birthday dinner. Did you know Steve was going to be there?
06:16I did not know. We were supposed to go on a, uh, business trip. Uh, a lot of happening,
06:24you know, I was still kind of dealing with the whole trauma, uh, with, all right. Is it my,
06:31with the press? Uh, but no, I did not know. That was a quite a surprise and it happened,
06:38you know, once I started talking to Chrissy. So, you know, honestly, it was a lovely dinner.
06:43Well, it seemed like you two were really able to peacefully coexist and even have a few laughs.
06:48This looks great. I'm doing great.
06:50There's Doc. We, we know you order probably bone, we're all betting on tuna tartar or bone marrow.
06:56Bone marrow. Yes. Where's bone marrow?
06:58Do you think it's possible down the line to have a friendship with him someday?
07:03We definitely working on the friendship. Um, definitely. I, I'm an adult. Yes. I'm going to
07:10have my trauma. I'm going to act out. I'm going to be hurt and I have the right to do that. Um,
07:18not always proud of my actions, um, in the past, but I'm going to move on. You know, it's,
07:25the life is not worth that. So yeah, uh, my hope is to become friends, you know, run businesses and
07:33enjoy the boys, the grand grand babies and all that stuff because, you know, ultimately they are
07:40my family here. I, I gotta ask you, Masha was texting Steve a million times at dinner and that was
07:47tough to watch. There's only one person that would be texting him off the chains like this,
07:53and that's Masha.
07:57What the ****? What are you doing?
08:04You talk about no pressure. This is the most pressure I've ever seen.
08:08Uh, can you tell me what you thought of Steve's hot mic moment?
08:12Um, well, I, I thought it was a little bit pathetic considering the fact that how he portraying
08:18himself, you know, you know, um, doing that for, um, a woman, woman, like he is like always claiming
08:27to be such a, you know, whatever man he is. Like, I thought it was pretty pathetic, but whatever.
08:35More power to, to them, you know, congratulations. You, you got what you want.
08:40Okay. Super last question. What can you tease about the rest of the season?
08:44I would say you definitely want to stay tuned in. There is a lot more to come. Um, stay strong. Watch it.
