Malaysia extends condolences over passing of Thailand's Queen Sirikit

00:07the Arsian summit due to the death of the country's Queen Mother Sirikit.

00:12Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul stayed back in Bangkok to chair a special cabinet

00:16meeting at the government house on Saturday morning to discuss funeral arrangements.

00:21Anutin may miss the signing of a broader cease-fire deal between Thailand and Cambodia over their

00:26disputed borders on Sunday.

00:29The government said there would be a discussion on how to proceed with the cease-fire ceremony

00:34and whether another official would sign the agreement.

00:38At the Arsian Foreign Minister's meeting in conjunction with the Arsian summit, the Malaysian

00:43government expressed its condolences over the passing of Queen Mother Sirikit.

01:03Queen Sirikit passed away at 9.21 p.m. on Friday at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital at the age of 93.

01:13She was revered for her contributions to social welfare and cultural preservation.

01:19The Bureau of the Royal Household said during her admission at the hospital, the Queen experienced

01:24several episodes of illness, which required continuous treatment.

01:28They said from October 17, the Queen developed a bloodstream infection, and her condition gradually

01:35deteriorated until she breathed her last on Friday.
