Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan has expressed his heartfelt condolences over the passing of Thailand's former Queen Sirikit.

“My sympathy goes out to the government and people of Thailand at this sad hour,” said Mohamad in his opening remarks during the Asean Foreign Ministers’ Meeting on Saturday (Oct 25).

00:29The government said there would be a discussion on how to proceed with the cease-fire ceremony
00:34and whether another official would sign the agreement.
00:38At the Arsian Foreign Minister's meeting in conjunction with the Arsian summit, the Malaysian
00:43government expressed its condolences over the passing of Queen Mother Sirikit.

01:03Queen Sirikit passed away at 9.21 p.m. on Friday at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital at the age of 93.
01:13She was revered for her contributions to social welfare and cultural preservation.
01:19The Bureau of the Royal Household said during her admission at the hospital, the Queen experienced
01:24several episodes of illness, which required continuous treatment.
01:28They said from October 17, the Queen developed a bloodstream infection, and her condition gradually
01:35deteriorated until she breathed her last on Friday.
